£1 for lovely M&S jewel coloured tie up cardi
Really pleased with these Bootsale bargains

The Charity shops around here are getting really stupid on the pricing now.We live in a big Holiday area and I am sure they are hiking the prices up for the tourists :( Shame really as they will need the locals come winter and doubt we will bother ;)

Just done the rounds of the 6 charity shops in our village..

Bought a very nice M&S Autograph 100% cotton long sleeved shirt, still very stiff so possibly unworn.
    £2.00 from Sue Ryder shop.

It's in the washing machine and will be a Christmas present for the OH.

Bought a BNWT EWM smart shirt/ sweater today for £4.50. Sadly, there wasn't a changing room to try it on and it's a little too big for me. Still quite pleased with it

Gerry Webber lightweight gilet £2.50 and an Eastex sparkly top £2.50 both as new but no labels
Mortgage and Debt free but need to increase savings pot.
  • Two good finds - a Seasalt long-sleeved top, brand new, for £2.50, and a pendant. It was in a normally quite expensive CS, it's about 2½" long and 1" wide, with a big white stone (I think it's Chalcedony) and 4 lapis lazuli stones. Quite tarnished, and priced at £5, as they must have thought it was costume jewellery. Lapis isn't cheap, and it was well made, so I gave it a try. It's cleaned up well, and I've found the hallmark, it's silver!

That reminds me of a bracelet I saw on Dickinsons Real Deals last night. I don't usually watch that but DH had put the Tele on and I caught the end of it and a woman had bought a bracelet for 50p in a chazza and sold it for £1300!! Top valuation of it was £2500! This wasn't some old find either, it was only about 6 months ago she bought it!

I don't wear jewellery, so don't look at it, but might do from now on! :p

    I saw that too, Georgie.

It was marked Tiffany and Co - the buyer said it was strange to have the 'and' instead of '&'.
    It was 18 carat gold.

I think if it were me I'd be inclined to pop back to the charity shop and give them a donation - especially if it was one of the smaller, local ones.

That's right, forgot it was Tiffany and Co!

I had a bargain similar to this (years ago) but from our local flea market.

I found a pair of cufflinks in a 50p box (OH used to have to wear suits). They were very tarnished but I thought I could see a hallmark.

They cleaned up really nicely and have 'proper' UK hallmarks for Birmingham 1985.
