What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

I am thrilled with today's chazza purchases. I picked up a Per Una dress for me (it looks new) and two t-shirts for my DS (one Joules, one Angry Birds) for the bargain price of £5 for all of it. Also picked up a M&S Limited Collection top for £3, but I will need to lose a bit of weight for that to fit properly!
I was shocked at the prices in BHF shop though- £12.99 for clearly worn dresses, from brands like Next and DP. Totally over-priced.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Two handsome Denby mugs for 50 pence a piece. Both stamped as seconds, but not at all obvious as to why.
Now looking forward to cutting a dash at the new team meeting!0 -
Got a linen tunic/shirt by a brand called "east" for £4.95 in barnados...had a quick look on their website and most stuff seems to be about £80 !! Who buys this stuff??!! Jennifer Aldridge maybe??!!:rotfl:Best headline ever on local paper??

Spotted a CoccoonaBaby in local children's hospice charity shop, no price on it, so asked the guy, who asked what it was... I said it was a baby sleeping thing and he goes 'I dunno, £3?' So I paid him £5 and walked off up the High Street as fast as I could...... They're £129 brand new at John Lewis and £60-70 second hand on Ebay...

I think I'm becoming discerning, just 2 books from a chazzer-trawl of 4 this week. I didn't even bother looking at anything else.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

I had a busy morning shopping at the Sue Ryder sale at Nettlebed again today. I spent around £20 and for that I got:
- A brand new, sealed-in-box, Homedics heat/shiatsu electric massage cushion (Mister CJ is complaining of terrible backache, probably from all the digging I make him do in the garden!!)
- 4 dariole moulds
- 4 individual sized loose-bottom non-stick flan tins
- 3 potato growing bags - very sturdy, with drainage holes and a lift-up flap to access the potatoes
- 4 large black plastic hanging baskets, with little panels around the sides which you slide up to put the plants through. I have grown loads of tumbling tom and sweet million tomato plants this year and I thought they'd be good in hanging baskets. I'll get Mister CJ to built me some kind of wooden frame to hang them all from, now that his terrible backache is better
- Hardback book, Nigella "Kitchen"
- Hardback book "Eden" by Tim Smit, all about the Eden Project
- Hardback book, Jamie's "Great Britain" recipes
- Book of Christmas cross stitch patterns - some really lovely ones. I must start doing some cross stitch again, I haven't touched it for over a year.
- A potted dahlia from the plant stall, Bishop of Llandaff which is one of my favourites.
- Two potted hostas - they're not that big, but they should do well in the garden (as long as the slugs don't get them).0 -
Got today in Hospice. Lovely sun hat. Two silk scarves, and a new Katie afforded book:TI Believe in saving money!!!:T

Went a bit wild at the chazzer today, buying 3 books and a cute bright pink summer dress for the baby from Barnados. Then happened to pass another which had double-sided shelf of paperbacks on the pavement, for 40p each / 3 for £1. Ended up buying another 10, including a Yudkin that I had been searching for for ages on Amazon w/o any luck, and ironically had hunted down on inter-library loan just yesterday. Also the 50 Shades of Grey trilogy, at £1 for the lot I doubt I'll ever read them, but was too much of a bargain to resist. It will have decorative purposes on one of my shelves until I can gift it...so 13 books and a dress for a grand total of £10.50Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!
