Hubby and I are currently on holiday in Spain. We went out for a walk this morning and unexpectedly came across a charity shop.
Came out with 2 pairs of mens denim jeans and a pair of smartish Jeff banks shorts, ladies t-shirt and a bag. All for the sum of 5 Euros--(about £3.80)!!!!!!!
:j :T
There is one in torremolinos that usually has a good stock of books.
Up in fuengirola there is a cancer shop, again good for books and I saw a Chanel type twees suit for 8euros. Tiny size though0 -
Yesterday was lovely and summery, I took my mum and the LO down to Hornchurch for tea and a chazzer- browse. Bought a scarf that caught Mum's eye, some books (unsurprisingly!); prices ranged from £1 to individually priced @40/60/70p, and 4 for £1. Much better value than other chazzers, [STRIKE]Oxfam Leigh-on-Sea[/STRIKE] naming no names.
And this for £2 for our little princess, which I washed in hot soapy water yesterday and looks brand new. I checked online, it's OOS atm but usual RRP £7.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Wondercollie - how is everything going in your area now? The fires have dropped off the news radar here and I've been thinking of how people are coping with such devastation. (Sorry - don't mean to hijack the thread)Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Just on the news now. Limited return for residents start next week. They are being told to bring two weeks worth of food, water, etc. With them.
No pregnant women or dialysis patients should return due to limited medical services at the local hospital which is being deep cleaned.
Thankfully, minimal loss o life. Two died in a traffic accident.0 -
Can't even begin to imagine how all those people are coping with the aftermath, which will be going on for a very long time. Thanks for the update WC.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Pair of Matalan cords "Falmer Heritage" label (probably not proper Falmer then), and three t-shirts, two M&S and one Bonmarche, all 50p each.
They are going into the holiday clothes drawer.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe
