Ooh just had a look at junge jackets online and they are lovely0

It was and I did. It fitted perfectly and looking at the care label and seeing that it was 30% cashmere and 70% wool made me feel a bit better about the £15 price tag! Thanks guys for the input....so nice to chat with people who 'get' this chazza shopping malarkey. We have three Sue Ryder shops here - one barn-sized place with a bit of the Mary Portas feel about it iykwim . Furniture, bric a brac, clothes and some new stuff, rather overpriced and not many people seem to go in. Then we have a 'vintage' shop -think it's aimed at student bo-ho types, hardly ever see anyone in there either and the stuff is expensive for what it is. Then we have the big twice weekly sale at the hospice itself. Most things are ridiculously cheap there, tops for 50p, coats for £1 and there is also a rail for 'designer-type' stuff. Hope you enjoy shopping at your new chazza and find some bargains. Let us all know how it goes!
I have a feeling that it will be expensive though.0 -
The Sue Ryder shop near me is good - fair prices & lots of stock. I always seem to find something whenever I donate
Don't do much CS hunting now especially as my wardrobe needs a serious cull. Went out with DS1 last night & DH wore the leather jacket I bought him. DS tried it & asked me to keep a look out for him as he only seems to have sailing jackets! Another convert methinks!

Also while I was in there I spotted a brand new light coffee coloured bath mat for £2.98. We're having our bathroom done shortly and it will go perfectly with the tiles and loo brush holder we've already bought
.
I don't normally leave the station while I pass the 40 minutes between trains, but today I felt driven to have a walk there. It's the only c/shop I know of in Manchester, but I haven't really explored the whole town.
There's an RSPCA Manchester & Salford shop on Oak St (Northern Quarter). It's small but they get some good stuff.0 -

Went on the prowl for books this afternoon, as I'm certain that a book I'm getting obsessed about (but not sufficiently to buy full price) will be coming my way soon. Ended up buying one I already have for £1, with the intention of giving it to a friend as it is such a good read, and then another 3 for £3 at the next shop, including a well-kept leather bound version of "The Three Musketeers", which to my shame I have never read. I didn't realise how long it is - 568 pages! (I have given it pride of place next to Moll Flanders).
So 4 good books for just £4, no complaints.Value-for-money-for-me-puhleeze!

Had a pleasant surprise today when I popped into one of our local chazzers.
Needed some cardigans for work and found 2 lovely ones in my size. Proceeded to the tills to pay, only to be told that all off their clothes were reduced down to £1 today!
Very happy that, what would have been a £5.50 spend, went down to £2!January Food Budget: £0/ £500

Well done on the Remoska find, I wish I could find one of those.
Please with my haul yesterday. A pair of rockport half trainers (put away for summer). A suit dress and jacket (only FF but new with label stick attached). A next cable knit jumper for ds and a whiskers bowl for the cat. All for £8.0 -
I had a little Charity shop walk about yesterday, I have been looking for a red dufflle style coat/jacket I found one yesterday in the first shop I went in, Dorothy Perkins £5.99. Browsing the sale rail in the third shop and found a nice green B&M jacket reduced to £2.99, looks even better since it's been through the washer! Feeling very happy with my excess of coats I dropped in one more shop on my way home and got a Paul Costello Dressage red raincoat reduced to £2.50!!
As the other half said "that will keep you going for a few years"0
