What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

Been donating loads recently so not been bothering to look much. However was looking for an Angel for the top of the Christmas tree (they must be out of fashion this year!) so trying the CS. Found a beautiful heavyweight Next shirt with a lineny texture for DS1 for 4.99 and on my way out spotted a leather type jacket. On inspection is very soft nappa leather and fits perfectly for 6.99 - both in our local cancer shop. They will now receive the leather jacket in my wardrobe that I've 'gone off'
Found an Angel in Poundland that I can 'improve' lol.
Good Hunting everyone.
ps: Forgot to mention I buy my cards in the charity shops 'cos then I know all the profit goes to the charity - I was in Barnardo's & they had beautiful hand made drawstring gift bags reduced to 49p. They are a decent size too. I don't know if all their shops will have the same stock but its worth looking!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I had luck the other day, a pair of blue patent doc martens boots. A little grubby but hardly any wear on the soles, for £4.99!
Also found two local history books, perfect for my grandma for Christmas from my local hospice shop.0 -
A gorgeous soft cashmere & merino wool extra-wide scarf (more like a pashmina) with a Royal Speyside label, looks and smells brand new... 50p  . Its label says do not wash, i.e. dry clean only, but as it was in a box with other assorted scarves I'd like to try giving it a very gentle rinse through with a drop of 'hand-wash for delicates' liquid and tepid water, just to freshen it up.
Also a pretty stripy cotton short-sleeved Per Una top for another 50p. :TI haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Oh. Sorry to hear that, and thanks for the warning.
I suppose being a scarf it wouldn't matter if it shrunk a bit, but it might go matted or out of shape.

Forgot that charity shops can be a great source of Christmas tat. My local one has bags of baubles for 50p, and some nice hand-sewn ornaments. Also got two lovely big gold wire stars with fake greenery for 75p each to hang up.They are an EYESORES!!!!0

I'm a bit doubtful these days of toiletries bargain finds. From experience I've found many to be so old that the stuff has gone rancid. I've even has stuff that was in date, (judging by the symbol on the bottom) but still had gawn orft! Props kept in sunlight or too warm?? I once bought a bottle of high-end perfume, still cellophane wrapped in it's box, think it cost something like £8 - it was deffo OFF....had to bin it.....:mad:0
