  • Just lately, every time I say I'm going to our nearest "Big City" DH says "Oh..I'll come with you".
So I never get a chance to have a good mooch around the charity shops (not while he's standing outside tapping his foot and looking at his watch)!!!!
As far as he's concerned, I've come to shop for something specific or go to the library. Getting serious withdrawal symptoms now, s'pose I'll just have to sneak off and tell him I'm going somewhere else
    Normal people worry me.

Don't usually go round the charity shops at the week-end but today was an exception and I found a BNWT cashmere sweater, a Tesco one, in a dark rose pink shade. Original price tag said £38, charity shop price was £10. A bit more than I usually pay for a sweater but I thought it was worth it. Then when I got it home I found a teeny tiny hole in one sleeve....thought about returning it but in the end I did a bit of a mending job and it's hardly noticeable. Taken a bit of the satisfaction out of the buy tho! :(
  • Had to go into town today to get prescription filled, this would take 3/4 hour so visited my fave charity shops. Came home with 2 x white cotton kingsize sheets,£2..50each. 1 king duvet cover, white cotton £5 , and a nearly new pair of jodhpurs in brown and hot pink, £1!!! Oh and my prescription lol

Not much on the chazza trail today apart from a pair of brown leather ankle boots, minimal wear, for 5.99 (Oxfam) for me, a Thomas Pink striped shirt - 3.49, Salvation Army - for husband, and a pair of Emma Bridgewater limited edition dipping bowls - Salvation Army again - 1.99 (which match the two EB mugs I bought for £1 a couple of months ago).

I spent 22.99 today and got a lovely deep blue winter jumper, thin enough to have a coat on top. Brand new m and s pair of work shoes. 2 winter coats, one was a long new look coat with hood, the other a beautiful dark grey swing coat, looked brand new. I also got a very pretty cardigan with a vintage style peter pan collar, and a navy blue bat wing cardigan, again it looked brand new. Really pleased with todays little lot.

    Cor!!! :p

    I spent 25p in a chazza today:D

Found a narrow belt with a pretty buckle in an unusual shade of browny grey. About a year ago I bought a lovely Hobbs dress in a chazza in the same colour but it had the belt missing. My 25p purchase is just perfect for it.
