What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

Thanks everyone for your interest and input...it's so nice to have somewhere to share these things.....nobody else I know quite gets 'it'!
Have decided to keep both coats as it seems somewhat churlish to return a gift and as has been mentioned I'm sure there will be lots of
opportunities in our climate to wear both0 -
I'd take the original back for a refund.. just say it was a gift and isn't the right size, you're well within your consumer rights.
And if Miro's friend paid for the coat, she actually has no consumer rights at all. Her friend does.
If her friend paid cash & Miro now has the receipt, then if Hobbs's policy is refund on 'change of mind', she could get a refund - depending on Hobbs's policy.
If the friend paid by card, any refund would have to go on that.
But that is possibly 'iffy' under the circumstances described if the SA may remember the transaction.
Personally, as the coats are different shades, different lengths & different sizes and are a classic style, I'd keep them both - and be very pleased I'd got such a generous friend and a great charity shop.
Now - MY bargain is nowhere near as spectacular but I bought a very pretty Wallis summer blouse for £2.50 from our local hospice shop.
Sleeveless in mainly yellow (not a colour I often wear) with red and purpley-blue tropical flowers, green leaves and half watermelons. (I'm not selling it to you, am I? :rotfl:).
Pretty neckline and buttons down the back.
Will look lovely with white linen trousers.0 -

It sounds lovely. This is the kind of garment I like to wear.
I am just about to get ready for work and I will be wearing a recent charity shop buy. It is a 1950s style swirly skirt in various, bright, blues that look like flowers. It can best be described as BRIGHT! Not sure it would work well with your top though!!0 -
I thought it sounded lovely too, until I got to "buttons down the back". How on earth...??? :rotfl:
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Oh dear....me again.....
Just happened to call into the BHF shop this morning....there on the rail was a pair of as new, bottle green, skinny jeans made by Jigsaw, my size and £4.99. I thought they seemed very good quality and the name rang a very dim bell so I looked em up on the Jigsaw website. Currently selling for £110!!
I can't believe my luck this last couple of days....
I have never ever done the lottery..... praps this week I should0 -

You have had some great bargains Miro, I just love Jigsaw. I recently found a Kew pure wool long winter coat in lovely autumn shades for £9 in our local Hospice Shop and loved it only to find when I googled it Kew was part of Jigsaw.0

The neckline is such that I can get it over my head without unbuttoning it. :T0 -

I think it's about time Miro told us just how big her wardrobe space is - because I'm beginning to think she must live with Doctor Who in the Tardis.0 -

I'm thinking of renting the apartment next door...just to have as a dressing room/wardrobe
It really is time to have a major de-clutter tho.....0
