I am finding that the prices in most charity shops are getting ridiculous, do they not go into regular shops and see the price tags, they are charging more for a t shirt than most stores. I browse but generally never buy anymore...... there is a great little cat one by me, all proceeds go to a Cat Society, I take all my things there they dont charge the earth and I pick up a few books when there, all 10p each absolute bargain, and take them back when read!:D

I find the same problems where I live, you can't buy a mans shirt for under £5 and this is the price for a F&F shirt which probably didn't cost much more new! Books are around the £2.50 mark, we have recently had a Sue Ryder charity shop open, wow, the prices are outrageous! I saw a Vax cleaner that washes the carpets priced at £99!

I've been abroad for a week on my hols. I'm also on a self-imposed Chazzer ban.
Then I come on here and read about all your lovely bargains.
Need more tea and biscuits and a cold shower ... I am NOT going chazzer visiting ... I am NOT ... I don't NEED anything!
Then again, I'm in Stourbridge tomorrow and often do well there so I might just call in, Mary Stevens Hospice shop has a great little cafe area anyway.
So I might ... just might ...... perhaps......
    Normal people worry me.

On the subject of silly prices, last week in Oxfam I spotted a bottle of 'Suddenly...Madame Glamour' which as some of you might know is £3.99 at Lidl (and sometimes £1.99 if included in one of their weekend 'events').

Oxfam had it priced up at £4.99.

Endless - love your dressing table. I have one very similar that didn't have a mirror either but I kept looking..............took me about 18 months but I managed to find a triple oval mirror like the one in your photo. I've also got two bedsie tables that match too. There is a shop not far from me that repaints old furniture in lovely shades of cream, grey, soft blue or soft green they look really good (and they're quite pricey) so i have a peek for ideas!

When I originally went in the shop last month there was the dressing table, with the mirror that is meant to be screwed on, the two huge wardrobes, chest of drawers and 2 bedside tables to match. I think they have probably put it back into storage as it didn't sell and one wardrobe and the table have come out with rotation so I'm going to go in tomorrow and see if they have the mirror floating about in the storage.

We went to the seaside today, seaside charity shops are always good and got a huge wicker laundry basket thing with lid, we were also tempted by the immaculate wicker chair but couldn't carry it. Very reasonable prices in all we went in to.

Hope you're lucky but I think the mirror may have gone - I think they are quite desirable that's why it took so long for me to find one. Decided I need a lightweight black blazer style jacket to wear when I go shopping instead of one of my fleeces - think I'll have a trawl round locally on Friday & see if anything turns up.......;)

Yesterday I found a, wot looks like new, beige, fitted M & S linen shirt on the £1 rail in the community chazza shop :)

Must make an effort and 'prune' my wardrobes and cupboards....time to return some stuff instead of buying more!

Something funny in Worcester today! I donate my old clothes to any charity shop - usually one I manage to park near.

Anyway, I had a sweatshirt from FatFace YEARS ago and wore it to death the first 2-3 winters. The fabric was still lovely and soft but it was worn and faded. I knew I had given it away but couldn't remember to where.

Went in St Richard's Hospice in Worcester today and it was on their rails - for SEVEN POUNDS!! I know it's FF but it was barely suitable for a £1 rail.

Nothing from Worcs Centre today so went out to St Johns. In the last shop I went to (Red Cross, I think), got a White Stuff dress with a birdcage applique and pattern on for £7, a Monsoon lined skirt for a couple of quid and a Fat Face T shirt for smaller son for £2. :-)

Went to Formby today, and found in Age UK a lovely Per Una floaty cotton blouse in shades of blue, for £3.99. It is tailored around the boobs area, so very flattering. Will look great with cut-offs in summer, so bring it on! :D
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D
