After a bit of a hunt I found 1300g of wool for £4.50 in the RSPCA shop

I am kicking myself that I didn't buy a cute M&S scarf in the Red Cross shop today. It was £4 and I decided that was too much, but it was a lovely blue colour, with little flamingoes on it! I may well pop back tomorrow to see if they still have it.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator

I don't think this is a great bargain but I'm really pleased with it:
dress/tunic by South, BNWT £4.99.
It's 96% silk & 4% elastene and in jewel coloured abstract flowers (vivid pink, purple, emerald green, gold, burgundy & burnt orange on a black background), it's just above knee length and looks fab with coloured or black opaque tights and a short cardigan (I have quite a lot of these in different colours).
The little bit of elastene makes it very comfortable.0 -
