What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

I bought a lovely White Stuff dress, not dissimilar to this one but not wrap-over:
http://www.whitestuff.com/winning-dress-prod407290_dk_chinese/
for £3.50 in shades of bluey-grey, pink and washed-out lime from our local Hospice shop.
It's a great shop and I take all my old stuff there. In fact, I saw the dress when I dropped off 2 bags of clothes & bric-a-brac yesterday.
It fits beautifully and even better - it's a size 12! :T
Well done, White Stuff dresses are lovely. What a bargain. One of the things I love about White Stuff is that I only need a 12, lol.
Our local Hospice shop is the best one around here too. They reduce anything that doesn't sell to £1 after 4 weeks, and I have had some amazing things from the £1 rail. I always take my donations there too as I like the fact that they price things to actually sell. I was in an Age UK shop last week and they had a bog standard M&S dress (not new) priced at £14.99! Madness, why not price things like that at £5 and actually make some sales.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

You've just burst my bubble. :rotfl:
I'm always on the look-out for nice dresses and tunics, Mantaray do some lovely ones too but I'm too mean to pay Debenham's prices.
They use really nice fabric and I love the patterns.got-it-spend-it wrote: »Our local Hospice shop is the best one around here too. I agree about pricing.
We have 2 Hospice shops (same) in our village.
One is a clearance one that has quite a lot of stuff at £1 and books at 5 for £1.
The other one is a bit more 'upmarket' but is still very reasonable.
We also have a Barnados who appear to have lost the plot price-wise.0 -
Bagged some lovely items at a flea market this week. Everything was priced at €1 :T I took a friend with me, who is clearly a good friend for flea market shopping, as she rooted out a couple of lovely skirts for me (one pencil skirt, one maxi). Also came away with a Mango skirt (still with tags on - €40), two tops, two belts (one embroidered) and a glittery jumper.0

Hi all!
Some cracking bargains being posted up recently!
I'm looking forward to having a good hunt in the new year too - pick up all those unwanted granny-knitted jumpers!
I bought a pair of heavy, lined green pinch pleat curtains - the prefect fit for the huge bay window in baby's nursery. £7.99!!' It cost me more than that to buy hooks for them!
So unbelievably chuffed to find them - they're definitely bespoke, such amazing quality fabric. Looks like the nursery is going to be decorated around the curtains!!
Thank you Age Concern!0 -
Picked up a Arthur & Aston cross body bag for £2 today from the Hospice shop - perfect for wearing under my coat when visiting dodgy areas out on my patch:heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

I got a Jack Wills t-shirt very similar to this one- http://www.jackwills.com/en-gb/product/ambergate-motif-ls-tee-10000284902 for £4.50 in the Cancer Research shop yesterday, along with these http://store.nike.com/gb/en_gb/pd/dri-fit-epic-training-trousers/pid-805226/pgid-552636 for £4.25
I'm wearing both of them now and theyre mega comfy
so I reckon that's a total of about £80 worth of stuff for just under £9*The RK and FF fan club* #Family*Don’t Be Bitter- Glitter!* #LotsOfLove ‘Darling you’re my blood, you have my heartbeat’ Dad 20.02.200 -
When visiting my sister over the Christmas hols I found a natty pair of brand-new sheepskin slippers for a fiver, which I'm very pleased with. Which pales into insignificance compared to the most beautiful black wool and cashmere Windsmoor coat I talked my sister into buying for £24.99 Twenty-five quid isn't necessarily the cheapest bargain in town but it is dirt-cheap for what looked like an unworn top-quality garment. It would have been at least ten-times that amount when bought from the shop.0

Picked up three jigsaws for a friend at a pound each still in the wrapping. She was pleased. I never find any clothes but buy most of my books for them. I add books I want to my amazon wishlist and then delete them as the turn up in thr charity shops. Very satisfying :O0

I got a knee length Dorothy Perkins black wool mix coat for £1.99 a cute Barbara Hulanicki dress £1.99 and a gorgeous (quite formal) party dress (looks unworn) also £1.99.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
