I was in Worcester looking today! Is it the Cancer Research on the Tything that is cheap? I like the St Richard's Hospice shop nearby (big wedding dress section at the back).

Its the British Heart Foundation one, just past the turning down to pitchcroft, where all the curry houses are

also barnards green is worth a look, about 5 charity shops there

Ah, I know the one you mean now.

I don't know where Barnards Green is! I live about 20 miles west of Worcester hence popping to Ludlow too.
  • Two printed Christmas tablecloths (not a stain on them), one Eddie Bauer cotton Corduroy skirt (brown, been looking for ages) and a Scottish tea towel complete with bagpiper on it.

And change from a $20 bill. The skirt would have been around $60 new. I collect souvenir tea towels and am always on the look out.

Barnards Green is in Malvern, Frith.

a lovely, lovely, lovely cushion cover (+cushion) for £1.25. :j

It was marked £2.50 but because it had a red cross on it, it was half price but I wasn't aware. I had already put away my purse as I thought I had the right money so I told the assisitant to just take the £2.50 or put the change into the charity tin & I couldn't believe it, she had tears in her eyes as she thanked me.

I then went to relay all this to my husband, waiting outside, and felt myself welling up at her gratitude. :o

Oh, did I mention it was lovely :D

*** I think they may be a duplicate post (but it was so lovely ;D) so I'll add that I got a very nice lampshade which was originally from John Lewis for £1.95. it's for my son & has green flocked leaf outlines on it & matches a cushion he already has. ***
  • Not CS but I picked up 4 hard backed books - home freezing, basic Chinese recipes, microwave recipes and dough craft - from the free book exchange at work

That's the Christmas reading sorted! :)

M & S Autograph Evening Jacket in dark green & black, BNWT, £4....perfect to go with the black evening skirt I got a few weeks ago. That's my Chrimbo Eve outfit sorted :D

Also found a pair of 'posh' amethyst M & S jeans £3.25. All set for my Chrimbo hollibobs now :T
  • I bought a lovely fleece-topped adjustable footstool for £2.99 on Sunday. It was so comfortable I went back today as a friend wanted one but its companion had been sold (they are about £22 new).

I did manage to pick up a hair straightener heat protection (£7.49) for £1 and also a screen cleaning kit for LCD screens for £1. Can't complain!
