Princess, well done! I agree it's a good idea to look for other items. I have been so lucky lately getting some high end clothes in my size.
I got a lovely Highland Pottery cheese dome, just because it's beautiful and looked such a quality item, for £2.50. On checking Google to find out more about the studio, I found that cheese domes sell for £78!!! It's absolutely beautiful. Must not break it now as I so often do.0 -
I got this Boden cardigan today for £4.99.
http://www.boden.co.uk/en-GB/Clearance/Womens-Knitwear/Cardigans/WK619/Womens-Favourite-V-neck-Cardigan.html?NavGroupID=6
It was £45 originally and in as new condition so I was very chuffed.
Also got DS two lovely checked shirts from H&M for £1.49. They look unworn, and best of all he actually likes them.0 -
Hello
Popped into one or 2 local CS's today and don't usually spot anything, but came away with a lovely Per una top for me for £4.49. It's grey chiffon with dots and ruffles which will go over my white strappy top and linen trousers for hols
Also picked up 2 x Next tops for my daughter, 1x Gap for Kids top and a dress all for 50p each.
For crafting I found a 100% lambswool jumper which I am going to felt. It was £3.50.
So a good day for me i think

I made myself a promise that I wouldn't haunt any charity shops because there's nothing that I'm in particular need of. And I have no money spare for fun spendys, even very cheap ones. That promise was broken almost immediately it was made. *sigh*
I found a very splendid pair of navy linen trousers and a sweet, palest lavender linen blouse, both for £2.99 each. And a couple of other things, not all of them for me....... Now, all I need is some warm weather so I can go out in my lovely new clothes, resplendent.0 -

They sound lovely B&T, and I am exactly the same; I promised no more CS for a few weeks, but...:o I now have some amazing clothes (and would have even more if I worked in an office! Saw a fab suit, but didn't get as I would never have worn it.)
It's hard to pass up a bargain when it's not only in your size but your taste as well!0 -
Mine was yesterday in Scope. My daughter has been asking for the Little Miss collection for ages to go with her Mr Men. Looking though the dresses and I hear yell Mammy quick come here (you can imagine the scene my son and daughter sitting crossed legged reading though these books.
Books were 49p each I doubled on a few and shes 2 books short of the collection (which pains me as we put some back and hate to think I left the 2 she needed behind) so for £16.66 she got 35 books a few doubles and a special edition book.
Happy happy little girl. Seen the 2 other books on ebay for 1.99 each so not too badSo sorry I was ramblerling
Grocery Challenge. £400. - £35.22 + £19.80 + £109.01 = £164.03
Other spends (Clothes Luxuries etc)£11.97 + £1.19 + £7.36 + £69.00 + £38.50 + £5.50 + £23.00 +£2.00 = £158.52:shocked::sad:0 -
Having just bought a leatherbomber type jacket as a pressie for a grandson keen on Aircraft at the normal high street shop price ,We were doing our usual weekly jaunt to Bridport,40=miles from home, to enjoy the SaturdayMarket, the friendly atmosphere and chatty locals, when we did our usual dive into the charity shops and found a brand new Black bomber jacket festooned with all the American sew on badges,Airborne etc.etc. for the grand sum of a fiver. He was a bit surprised to get 2 jackets but you can guess which one he likes best.Pity I didn't find it first. My wife ,I may add, is the expert bargain spotter.0
