We received a letter through the post from the local charity shop which works for our local hospice and cottage hospital. We had been registered for Gift Aid for any donations we made over the year. This year our donations to the shop made £101 for these small charities, then they claim the Gift Aid on top of that:T:T:T It made our day:j:j:jI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Lovely New Look Bag for £2.00, Jeans for £1.50 (they are Primarni but pretty much new and their jeans actually last really well in my experience), Top for £1 and some wool- good bargains and quite pleased. Also a King of Shaves Razor and Shaving gel, new in the box for £1 from a different CS, the male one but I still use it for leggies

Twenty quid frocks aren't on my radar: it's the linen or silk designer ones that I'm interested in. Some of the people who price up the clothing in charity shops don't know their Prim@rks from their elbows or don't care. Luckily for me. Which is how I got my grubby mitts on the most beautiful cotton and linen Edina Ronay spring/summer coat for only £7.99 which has been garnering compliments from all and sundry.
I made an exciting discovery not long ago which is that my local Sally Ann Thrift Shop sells all bags for 50 pence regardless of condition, material or design. It's all getting a bit out of control here in North London. Greed and acquisitiveness is an evil thing. Evil!0 -
Hiya
I popped into charity shop earlier (had £3.20 on me) and got myself a top and dd a pair of skinny jeans for £1.70 so popped into different charity shop and got a regatta jacket for ds1 for £1.50. but i had seen more stuff i wanted. so just popped back in and got ds2 a new looking warm digger rain mac and a thomas the tank engine t-shirt with tags on (saying £5), dd a sparkly top, ds1 a local football team jacket looking new, tracksuit bottoms and 2 pairs of jeans all for £60 -
I accidentally bought 3 bags of Lego this morning
and found some odd- looking pieces inside. Looked them up and it turns out I've got an old (1987!) railway set worth somewhere around £100 :j
It's broken my dry spell anyway- I think I've only had a couple of books in the last 3 weeks or so.They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0
