Quick question, anyone know what Shrewsbury is like for charity shopping? It's quite close to me and I need new hunting ground. ;) Would be nice to have a change of scenery.

Not for me - but someone at our local charity shop has donated a load of aged 4/6 girls clothes - all really good makes. Monsoon, M&S, John Lewis, Fenwicks, Jasper Conran and the like. All in really great condition and lovely stuff. Somebody is going to get a real bargain.

Yesterday I saw a lovely Tuscan china tea set in my local hospice shop but I didn't have time to stop and have a proper look, well today my lovely husband rang the shop to see if they still had it in and asked them if they could save it for me until I could get there this afternoon (luckily it was the nice staff in today ). So for the fabulous price of £6 I now own 6 cups and saucers, 6 side plates, a larger plate (possibly a cake plate), a milk jug and sugar bowl in this pattern http://www.everythingstopsfortea.com/tuscan-china-albany-tea-trio-607-p.asp

I enjoyed a day charity shop hopping in Shrewsbury with my DD and DGD a few weeks ago, theres quite a number of them and I particularly liked that they were all on the same street so could go down one side and back up the other and do the lot,we did find some nice things but I found it a bit expensive compared to Wellington Telford, which is my usual hunting ground.

At our local hospice shop I bought lots of toy figures, including two Duplo characters, cars, dinosaur etc. 20p each and I spent £4. Looking after the grandchildren tomorrow will be that bit easier now.

Thanks! I'll have to go and have a mooch once this weather cheers up. I tried to have a look at what is was like by using Google Street View. :rotfl: Getting the train there should be a toddle too seeing as I'm a non-driver.

Got a few bargains today - best ones were in Shelter. I got a pair of Principles trousers & an M&S skirt (both for work) for £1 each, also a Wallis linen skirt for £1, a bright pink Per Una bag for £3.50 and a BNWT M&S shift dress for £10 - ideal for work!

I alos got a Regatta shirt & Next top both for £6 in NSPCC and 3 scarves (my weakness!) and a fair-isle cardigan in PDSA for £5.

So I spent a bit but got a good haul!
