What is your charity shop bargain of the week?

I have seen a very well dressed gentleman in a few charity shops in a ten mile radius (the area I visit charity shops in) he sweeps in, goes straight to the menswear and picks up all the dinner suits/vintage suits and coats and buys them. He is a vintage clothes trader. One shop keeps them out the back for him and pays by card without conversing(he is polite an well spoken). He stands out like a sore thumb from the usual customers.A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

Popped in a couple of charity shops on the way home today and very pleased with my haul from the The age UK shop (they have some great bargains in plus sizes, whereas they can be harder to find at a good price in the other charity shops locally).
M&S Blue & black top 99p
2 cardigans with built in vest tops £1.49 each, and
M&Co brown top £2.99
There was 3rd cardi/vest top but I didn't buy it as it was peach, just remembered I have some navy dye in my stash, so will go back tomorrow & buy it if it's still there, as I've been looking for a navy cardi (I can remove the vest part) and nearly paid a lot more for one recently.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
I got myself 3 lovely tops today, 1 from Ann Harvey and 2 from M&S..all 3 came to £6.97.
Very pleased as they were really lovely and fit really well too so they are a welcome addition to my wardrobe for the summer. :jPAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
I finally have a bargain to report. Yay!!! My favourite charity shop had a school coat hung up on the door. It looked brand new, the problem was that there was no size in it. The lady in the charity shop could not find a size in it either. Luckily I have two girls one already at school and another starting in September so I thought that if it did not fit my eldest it would eventually fit my youngest.
I got the coat for £1. I looked on the uniform shop website and a similar coat was £25!!!0 -
I got an Orla Kiely skirt today for £7, just like this one except it says size 8 (:j:j!) It's actually rather generously sized, more like a 12, but I'll pretend to myself it's an 8:p
I've also been trying to put together an outfit each for DD and me for a 1940s day at school in a few weeks. I've found a silk dress (£12) plus Red Herring cardie (£4), brand new vintage (if that makes sense) shoes for £2.50, earrings for £1.99 and a headscarf for £1 plus a few other bits like tights from Poundland, total spend under £25  which is a bit steep for fancy dress but I'll wear everything again. DD's 'dress' is actually a top, with lace-up school shoes, ribbons for her hair and some vintage ankle socks I think we're just about there! The charity shops have done very well out of us.
They have to make their own ration books and labels at school and we all get evacuated on the day....They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.0 -

Don't forget your gas-mask boxes on stringYou won't be allowed on the evacuation train if you haven't got them!

There are some totally bonkers people out there in the world. Why would someone buy a pair of heels from LK Bennett and never wear them just to donate them to the British Heart Foundation? Very pretty and practical they were, too and only £11.99 Not in my size but I'm sure someone will snap them up and cherish them.
I splashed out a whole £3 on a lilac linen Fenn, Wright & Manson top. Roll on summer!0 -
I got some T M Lewin shirts in great condition, one in particular from Cancer Research which was only £1.50 as they were having a half price day. Also got a pink M & S coat for £4 and a crochet book for my friend. A good day!0

The other day I got a Soap & Glory gift box with a pink bath scrunchie in it and four miniatures, body wash, body butter, hand cream and a scrub for £2.25, it's BN and retails at £10!
Also, a couple of books too, 1001 health miracles 75p and Alan Carrs autobiography for about £1.90.0 -
Well got that 3rd top today & I have prepped it for dyeing.
Got a brand new its packaging gift basket with a wooden bristle hairbrush, mirror, sponge srubby, body puff, foot file, and massager for £3.99 - Bought I've been looking for a wooden bristle hairbrush for ages, but they are £8 in the Bodyshop, so all the other items are just a bonus (or will be made up with a lovely soap and given away at Christmas!)
Got a huge canvas print for £2.99, been looking for one for an art project I have planned, but new blank ones cost a whole lot more (than I was willing to fork out) for the size I got.
Also got 5x 8 packs of dessert pots (shaped like disposable jelly moulds) for 99p, will be using them for a craft project and possibly for making jellies!A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0
