A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Hello. First time poster here.
Been loving reading this thread! Made me itching to go rummaging!
Today's charity shop haul consisted of;
A brown felted coin purse with flower detail - 50p Cat's Protection
M&S Raspberry scarf - 50p Cat's Protection
Purple, pink and teal patterned scarf - 99p Air Ambulance
Dorothy Perkins lacy black top - £1.50 Air Ambulance
Glazed pot for my makeup brushes (has a nice weight to it, and feels soo tactile!) - £1.25 House Hospice
Next black fitted skirt (thought would be good for job interviews and the like) - £2.99 Oxfam
Adidas exercise top - £1.99 - BHF
Miss Selfridge dress with a repeated tulip pattern - £2.75 Cancer Research
Kirra (never heard of that brand but looks great) strappy summer top - £2.50
Gap Kids 100% cotton pale blue button - up shirt. - £1 Age Cymru. Soo happy with this particular buy! It's age 12-13 yrs, but I'm rather petite up top and it fit me just fine.
Miss Selfridge cream summer top with a tree pattern (sounds odd, but looks pretty) - £1 Age Cymru
Aaad finally a Dorothy Perkins brown smock-like top with 3/4 length sleeves - £1 Age Cymru.
Phew!
Won't be doing that everyday but it was nice to treat myself and everybody wins. :j0 -
That's a pretty good haul in one day, Dulcemiel.0

not in the CS, but happened on a Spring Sale yesterday just as it was closing & all clothing items were 10p each - got my mum a couple of pairs of M&S trousers, daughter a 'cover-up' (can't think of word
) for holidays to go over swimsuit in the evening, son some shorts & a pack of brand new knickers (I know, but they were new!
)in a friend's size.
The lady also gave me a bag, for free, with some curtains I was looking at. She refused any money saying that they hadn't had a good chance to look at them & she thought there was very little use in them. When I opened the bag this morning, there's a lovely pair of linings, extra wide & extra long, just right for my hall. But she's right about the curtains - could be good for blocking draughts though.
I did also buy a rechargable stick vacuum for £4 that seemed to work but I've tried charging up the battery & it just doesn't hold the charge. So I'll have to investigate whether it's worth buying a replacement battery or not.
Also bought 7 books for 20p each & a DVD for 30p.0 -
Also not CS .. but .. a black long-sleeve top from M&S end-of-sale (Autograph) for £2.
Supposed to be a pyjama top, but I shall wear it as a long sleeved Tshirt, so there!

Just come back from a trip to Glasgow. Lovely Charity shops in the Byres Road, West End. Not sure how much of a bargain the lovely dark wooden candlesticks were that I bought but I paid £6.99 for the pair. They are so sweet and an interesting shape and will really go well with the decor of the room I am about to have refurbished. I just love them.0

Today I got a nice M & S, fancy, T shirty top in green for £1.25 and to go with it a Fenn Wright Manson(?), linen, wrap/scarfy thing in various stripey shades of green for £1. This was in our local Community chazza shop.:j
Only downside was I was diddled out of 20p in my change....I did notice at the time but felt it would seem soooo mean to point it out0 -
I got a limited edition print, that is still selling on the artists website for £40, but i paid 80p.0

Not CS but I took DS (4) carbooting for a new (to him) toy garage last weekend and he found one for £2.50, a fisher price one with two ramps, a lift, noises and buttons and even a car wash underneath. It was grubby but after a hosing down in the bath it's like new! He's delighted with it.
DD (2) also found a lovely condition mamas and papas pram, complete with dolly, bedding, matching bag and popup cot for £10. So she was well pleased too. It has adjustable handle so should last her some years, and she's been after a proper dolly pram for a while now.
