  • Wow, just found out that, that picture frame I picked up the other week for 25p retails for over £6!

Cool photo frame! Reminds me that I got a bargain of a photo album the other week, an Umbra vintage style photo album for £2.50, retails at about £28 usually!

I got a Next pure silk scarf for £2. It was an emergency purchase as I was away from home and needed something to dress-up a plain black jacket.
I am not usually that lucky!

I love cloth napkins but they stain so easily. Bought eight deep red M&S ones for £2 yesterday. I checked carefully before buying - not a mark on them. I've washed them - let's hope they iron well!

I am totally addicted to charity shops and to TKMax. I just love the uncertainty, not knowing what will turn up. I am fed up with regular shops where everything is the same. I also love Emporium type shops, junk shops and antique shops for the same reason.

I shop in this way, not through necessity because I am probably better off now than I ever was in many ways, but because, by my age you have seen every trend coming and going several times.

What I find interesting is how I am still drawn towards the same sort of things I have always liked and have even re-bought things I have had before.

Bargain of the century - pair of Laura Ashley table lamps with silk shades - £5 for the pair. Going to look fab in our bedroom when we finish decorating. I checked the website and, although they don't sell these exact ones now, the big lampshades which are the same are £30 each!!!

That's lovely - really stylish :) (I must admit as nice as my little frame is I can't see how it would ever be worth more than a quid or 2)!
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

Thanks :) As soon as I saw it, I thought for that price I've got to have it!

Hi guys, long time lurker but I've never really bought anything too special. However, yesterday i found a lovely pair of boots that look like converse style trainers with a heel. £5.99 in age uk, and perfect for a wedding I'm going to soon. They are immaculate and look like they've been worn maybe twice at the absolute most. I'm very happy as I normally live in trainers so didn't want to spend too much on some 'posh' shoes. :T
