I noticed in our town that things in the charity shops are getting really a lot more expensive - even not really very good makes. We live in a little village about 5 miles out of town and they cs there is much better. That sounds really tight doesn't it? But we are on a budget and I wonder if it has affected turnover?

No I totally agree - now that charity shops are a lot more popular, I think the chain ones especially are raising their prices, unfairly in some cases to be honest! There's a CS in my town, full of old ladies who volunteer mainly for the gossip i think because I've found them quite rude, and they have the same things there for months. Mostly because they consider a musty, dated jacket worth €40! They had an old telephone (90s old and well used) for €20!!!
  • I desperately needed a replacement for my tatty, old, warm, and very comfy trainers which are falling apart rapidly and I found these today

Coo! Those boots are really cute. A fabulous bargain at six quid if they're leather. I want!

Those boots are a bargain, they look like they're new!
  • Visited a sue Ryder cs where we are staying on holiday to see if we could pick up a clock for dd (7) as no clock in her room so she keeps waking us at 5am. Saw a wall clock and went over to inspect small orange sticker to find out price. After straining to read it dh and I looked at each other and laughed.... It said NOT FOR SALE! :)

    OMG! OMG! OMG!

I got 4 M&S bikinis and one Camille one, all BNWT and in my bust size (quite large cups, smallish back) for £10.00 at Save the Children.

OK, so maybe I didn't really need 5 more bikinis but one bikini top in M&S would have have cost more than a tenner.
