I was in your area this weekend but unfortunately didn't manage to get into any CS's - we had a family function at the Carr Arms so scrumptious lunch instead!
Did manage to get a pretty fuchsia pink Minuet top and a Raspberry Zip up Cardi last week but I'm trying to sort the wardrobe (well a little bit)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
I was having a mooch around Oxfam in Kings Road, Chelsea this afternoon and grabbed a great bargain. 4.5m of natural coloured furnishing fabric, just a shade or two lighter than the Laura Ashley Austin fabric I am using for my lounge curtains. It cost me £4.99. I couldn't wait to get it home and think of ideas to use it. Table cloth, cushions, throw maybe, who knows? Would make some lovely craft things too, like hearts. I am really into the natural look right now.
Feeling so pleased with myself and, now that I have my free bus pass, I will be taking many more trips into London just to mooch around the charity shops.0 -

3 beautiful long stemmed wine glasses for 2 quid. Then in another CS I found 2 smaller wine glasses for 99 pence. We use cheapo wine glasses for breakfast fruit juices, and if a glass gets broken we haven't lost much. One life - your life - live it!0

If anyone's near Belfast, I was in the British Heart Foundation's shop in Castle St yesterday afternoon and spotted am Anthropologie tunic for £5.
It was on the size 12 higher rail just to the left of the entrance, as you go in. Pale cream, floral and tunic length just isn't me. So I thought I'd mention it here in case anyone was interested.0 -
I have to say I am starting to find charity shops a little bit over priced - I spotted an unopened smellie gift set didn't recognise the make and it was £5 and a small candle 99p - I didn't buy these.
My daughter (8) after loads of grumbling and "what we doing in here" - when I pointed out there were kids clothes was in heaven and she found a ted baker dress for special occasions £4.99.0 -
Don't you just hate it when you go into the CS & spot a number of things that are exactly to your taste and style & the donor is either a size smaller or 2 sizes larger than you - GrrrrrSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

My pet hate is the oh so tastefully arranged clothes by COLOUR instead of size. I don't know about you, but i don't got looking for a red dress, I look for something that FITS.

My pet hate too! Also the gardening and craft books are on the bottom shelf so you have to bend double to see them while the kids books are at your eye level. Why not put the kids' books on the bottom shelf, they are closer to the ground than we are!!Flowers are sunshine for the soul0
