This weekend I managed to pick up a pair of Florence and Fred trousers and a stripey cardigan for the tital sum of £7.00. Rather chuffed as both were BNWT. Also the trousers fit like they were made for me and they're not an extortionate amount of money too so I'm off to Mr Ts after work to buy another pair as they're PERFECT for work and my local store has one pair left in my size which they have kindly put to one side for me.Everyone has a dark side... apparently mine is called Harold?!? :huh:0

Wow this thread is great - can't believe i've only just found it!! I've really enjoyed reading about the great bargains some of you have got. I took £20 out on Saturday and decided to go on a 'charity shop' shopping spree. For my £20 I got a lovely Monsoon sheer black and grey animal print blouse for £5.99, some lovely cobalt blue jeans BNWT from George for £5 (originally £14), a beautiful soft navy blue cardigan with gold buttons from New Look in immaculate condition for £4.99. I then got a few bits for Christmas! I know it's only January but I had a few ideas for people late in December that I thought i'd do this year. So i'm doing a couple of hampers for people and found two baskets that would be ideal for 50p each (I spent around £2.50 per basket for hampers last year), then I found a lovely little round tin from John Lewis with a robin carrying mistletoe in its beak on the lid that was £1, i'm planning to make some home made fudge this year so will be great for packaging it in. My friend loves Christmas and reading so i'd planned to get her a couple of Christmas books, and I found one in immaculate condition (I really don't think it's been read) for £1, then a book of golf stories for my golf-mad OH for £1. So all in all I spent £18.99 on 3 items of clothing, two baskets, two books and a tin! Happy with my 'spree'!0

Today I bought a huge white teapot for £1.69. Also picked up what I think is a meat mincer, although it might be a spaghetti maker? If it's a meat mincer then it's a bargain for £1.69, if not then I will donate it back to the CS.0

1 blue cropped cardi to go with a frock I already have 50p
Long lined red skirt 50p
Red Herring wrap top in gorgeous summery colours 50p
Stunning monsoon skirt £2.75
Recent find have been;
Laura Ashley skirt 50p (not in my size :mad: so in my eBay box!! :T
Wool and mohair mix Jigsaw coat £3
Girls monsoon dress £4.00 (not sure if it'll go to a niece or in my eBay box)

A Teal Silk Coast dress for £7.50. One good thing about volunteering in a charity shop is that I get to see different stock all the time and know when things get reduced. It had been in the shop for 4 weeks and on the reduced rail for another week, so plenty of chances for someone else to grab a bargain.0

Had a MS to do in Chichester (better class of CS there dont you know
)
so HAD to have a look didn't I?
1 nice TU striped cotton & lycra top - brand new 1.99
Black Kalico top - 4.49
I saw a CC jumper there to but was undecided - happened to go into CC round the corner & the same top was in their sale reduced to £20.00 so I went back to the CS & bought it - for 5.25!!
Shelley What do the blades look like on the mincer? If they're round it probably is a mincer but take a googly to check (if it's £1.69 it is a bargain - I got rid of mine some years ago & regretted it but managed to get one on Freecycle)Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -
Woo hoo, big slow cooker (all tested) for £4!!! :j
Been wanting one for a while as my 2-portion one is a bit useless for batch cooking.
Looks like an 80's one like my mum had.
Off to give it a good wash, then hit the slow cooker thread!!0 -

What a bargain - & just think how much more you will save by being able to batch cook & use cheaper cuts of meat too :TSmall victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

That's a fab find well done. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to find a George foreman grill for £4 in my local Compton Hospice shop, tested also. It doesn't look as though it has had any use, I was so pleased as mine had recently broken and I needed a new one. Love getting a bargain but doing some good at the same time0
