  • Today I got some Peter Storm walking boots for my 8 yo for £6, a 1960's vintage skirt for £3 and, this is amazing, a 1960's sasha doll for £3.50 (worth about £150!). I can't tell you how excited I am! Will have to sell the doll though as other half's MOT is going to be expensive. That was a good day!

Old Style weight loss so far...2 stone and 7 pounds
  • I've been thinking about buying a new coat/jacket for a while as I've been wearing a second-hand boring black coat I was given by a friend for about 3 years.

Today I found a navy and green houndstooth wool jacket from H&M in Barnados that fit perfectly, for the bargain price of 99p! Very, very chuffed :)

Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
  • Just come across this thread and love it. I am still addicted to Cs but one day was truly special.

GUCCI bamboo heeled sandals, Dior top, Michael Kors top, Prada card I, Jam in Puech handbag, Moschino, Alexande r McQueen, Clements Ribeiro... ALL for under £30 TOTAL. I had so much that a shoe fell out of the bottom of the pram and disappeared, when I looked up Sergio Rossi on the web I was a bit gutted.

Still go misty eyed over that day...
Infamy, infamy, they've all got it in infamy!!
  • My finds over the past couple of weeks have been:
    • A 1920s children's book - £1.50. The book has been well-loved, but five of the pages are gorgeous full-page colour illustrations, which I'm planning to frame.
    • Retro sausage dog ornament - £3.75. I already own two the same but couldn't leave it in the shop!
    • A small mat made of shells - £1.50
    • Three large shells - 50p each. I decorate mirrors and frames with shells, and make mobiles out of them, so always pick up any shells I find
    • A wooden African-style bangle - £1
    • Unread To Kill A Mockingbird which I'd been on the lookout for - 50p
