I volunteer in a charity shop so always like looking for bargains when I am there.
This week I bought a double bed fitted sheet (unopened, brand new) for £2.50.0 -

Of course if no designer stuff is coming thru the door ... and some older ladies will be very designer-aware of courseYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -

I went looking yesterday for curtain rings, which I didn't find, but I did find a pair of curtains, floor length, with tiebacks, for £5
bought them for our bedroom. Can't put them up immediately though - they're pencil pleat and we've only got a pole... it'll require even more curtain rings than I already don't have

Can I ask you all for some help please - I'm off up to Glasgow in early March, and would like to know where all the good CS are, also if there are any good vintage shops? We'll be in the city centre, so not too far out please!
TIA,
Floss0 -

I got an enamel vintage bread bin for £5, I was going to use it for the ashes from my stove but then looked it up on Goog£e and found it goes for a minimum of £25...so I'm using it for bread and it really is excellent.
I'm hoping to find some fire ironware, poker etc
Oh I did get a small Tefa£ steamer during the week for £8, wanted one for ages but they've always been around £15 in CS and too big, this one is perfect.
Has anyone noticed CS sharing their donations? I've been surprised to see the stuff I've donated in a totally different CS. I've had to do a double take as wondered if I was really losing it! Not sure what I feel about it tbh.0 -

They also overprice market labels thinking they are "designer"
I read that some of the shops 'pass on' Primark items because they're getting so many of them - they're just too cheap to buy firststhand that they're only worth peanuts secondhand & so take up too much room when they could use the rails for M&S stuff as folk equate those with quality.0 -

I was in one cs today and they had Primark tops at £3 that wouldn't have cost that new
Yes I've noticed the charities sharing too; annoying if you've specifically chosen one out of the area so as not to bump into a late relative's belongings and they pop up closer to homeYou never know how far-reaching something good, that you may do or say today, may affect the lives of others tomorrow0 -
Got a Phillips wireless mouse and keyboard from a charity shop in Coventry for just £3. Bargain! (they do work).0
