is there a way we can post pics to this thread? show off our bargains....

If you have an account with something like Photobucket (there are others but that's the one I use) you can copy the URL image link onto here and it should display your photo.

That's as far as my techie knowledge goes, but maybe someone more knowledgeable can add to it :).
    :D I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe :D

May not sound that great but something I have been wanting for ages: The old design Starbucks mugs, I paid 80p for 2 (a tall, and a grande I think) all mugs were 3 for a quid but I didn't want or need any more!

I missed getting any of the mugs (for free) when Starbucks changed their design as I never found out that they were giving away all their old ones till after they'd all gone.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
  • a bolt of fabric in a colour I use a lot, but better quality than I would buy = £2

    Love this thread.

A good day for me today. A brand new dress from Jane Norman with tags still on for £4 which fits great, tag says £38. Also a as new light weight rain jacket from Peter Storm £4 and also some mens brown leather/suede trendy Clarks shoes for £5 which have hardly been worn. I love looking in charity shops nowadays and am getting quite addicted lol.
  • I tend to go charity shopping to top up my belly dance wardrobe; I keep a look out for cheap jewellery, long skirts and dresses, and anything sparkly that can be cannibalised into a costume.

Today was a good haul - a black and pinstripe silver tunic for £3, a huge coin necklace for £2.50, a blue and green slub silk scarf and a couple of Miss Read books (the latter are not for costuming, obviously)

The necklace has been added to the box of bits for future costuming, while 20 minutes with the sewing machine turned the (frankly rather hideous) tunic into a glamorous cropped top (hides the wobbly bits on stage), with enough left over to cover a bra and matching belt.
  • Hi! I've never posted on here before, even though i do buy bits and bobs from the charity shop!

My friend bought my 9 year old an A*i*a* tracksuit for £2 yesterday, it was marked as £4 but the lady on the till was told to reduce it!!! Not a mark on it and looks fairly new!!

    Have a good day!!!
    It's a farmers life for me......:j
  • I got a French Connection mohair tank top yesterday, for £3 :D.
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • Got a 6 piece teacup and saucer set (Coloroll Kilncraft England) for 2.99 from British Heart Foundation.
