Got a lovely lampshade for £1.50 from local charity shop. I'd been searching for one for my porch, but it only has a very short length of electric lead between the fitment and the ceiling.

This one fits perfectly, is very pretty and you can't 'obviously see the bulb' - I hate being able to 'see' the bare bulbs through the shade ;).

I managed to pick up the following this morning, in my local charity shop.

The Jungle Book 2 (Disney) DVD
The Fox & The Hound (Disney) DVD
    Ice Age 3 & 4 DVDs

All of the above for £1 each. My DS should be pleased.

A more expensive CS find but worth every penny! A red soft nappa leather trouser suit for wearing on the few occasions I go with DH on his trike as its B cold in the wind! I am 5'10'' & the trousers are long enough & the jacket is really 'understated' so I could wear on its own. Its beautiful quality & £30 - one very happy bunny ;) (DH thought it looked sexy too but we won't go there - lol)
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle
  • Hi, I've not had much luck in my locals. There are lots of shops but they seem to be overpriced and the only best names you get seem to be M & S. I was thinking of travelling further afield. I'm in East Kent, can anyone recommend any good shops? :)
I must remember that "Money Saving" is not buying heavily discounted items that I do not need. :hello:

  • Me again

I was only thinking the other day that I'm a bit bored of my wardrobe, then I found the FC mohair top the other day ^^ and today I was most gratified to see that my favourite local shop had everything half price. I've got two lovely long wrap M&S cardies, the ones which look all drapey at the front, rather than buttoned, and a beautiful orange swing coat, 3/4 sleeves, in a wonderful brocade fabric. Really eyecatching and in great condition it'll be a bit of a talking point. I do love a lairy coat!) Total: £8.25 :D
They call me Dr Worm... I'm interested in things; I'm not a real doctor but I am a real worm.
  • A nice Per Una scarf £1.00.
    A 1000 recipe cookbook 50p.
A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.

Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.

    one life, live it!
