Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.
  • It's definitely my week in the chairty shop stakes- after my haul the other day I also picked up a Per Una jacket, a Baby Boden top in my son's size, a jersey blazer exactly like one I nearly bought in Primark and a Baby John Lewis jacket that is like new, and a current design in JL.

Today, I bought a gorgeous mustard coloured, large handbag, it's from H&M so wouldn't probably have cost too much anyway but I love it - it was £5.99.

Also got 12 small metal hooks with acrylic jewel heads - I'll use on a frame as jewellery hooks for my daughter's increasing pile of necklaces- for £1.50 the set. And they put them into a canvas carrier bag for me :)

And a set of new magnets with the days of the week on - handy for when I start my meal planning ;) They cost £1.

I also picked up a small diary which was in the sale for 19p but I've just found the receipt & they've charged me £1 for it - if it was an ordinary shop, I'd have taken it back but I'm happy to leave it as it is.
  • I am very fortunate to have a couple of lovely Charity Shops near to me.

Last week I bought a pair of ralph lauren jeans that look brand new for £6.99  and they fit perfectly which is always a bonus!

I have had lots of really great buys and I cant wait till Saturday so I can go CS shopping

Not been into any CS this week although might do today.
nighsongI usually buy my birthday cards & christmas cards in the CS because they're often a lot cheaper (and different) and at least you know ALL the profit is going to the charity not just a measly 10p that some retailers give
    Happy foraging everyone!
Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle

Just been in a local cs, 2 scarves for £1 each, wasn't planning on getting them but one is huge and long and soft and rainbow coloured and my DD fell in love with it, and the other is purple and I can't resist a purple scarf :D
More importantly though, I got 2 pairs of jeans, they were tagged at £3 each but she rung them through at £1 each! :D couldn't believe it! I don't even care of they don't fit me (didn't have chance to try them on)!

ETA: One pair fits me, the other doesn't, so I'm just going to give it back.
Rule 7: If you're not changing it, you're choosing it.

  • Hi everyone

I've been into our village CS today and (unusually) found a few things.

5 books (including the Gruffalo and the Gruffalo's child) for DtwinS's, 2 books and a DVD for me total £2.30.

Very pleased as I don't often find much these days.
