  • I've been hitting the charity shops on a retail therapy mission lately(sort of guilt free shopping:o)

I got the most amazing curtains for £19.99 from age concern, meant to be 66inch wide but easily double that. Beautiful pink roses on pale green background for our bedroom. Looks and feels like sanderson fabric and in excellent condition:T

Also got lovely debenhams dress for £8.50 from sue ryder, bit pricey but brand new and very classy;)

Rest of haul includes a mirror and cream wrought iron table for the garden(£15); bird print blouse, from new look(£3.99); beautiful vintage embroidered table cloth(£1.50) and lots of picture frames for cross-stitch! All from other assorted charity shops!:j:j:j

The crazy thing is...I'm meant to be de-cluttering and I'm bringing more in, much to dh's despair!!!:rotfl:

I had to buy a little milky glass vase about 3.5" high and it had some paintings of kitch doggies, very cute, it just sang to me so I had to pay £1 for it.

Also got a shortbread dish for making shortbread £2 and a metal cake tin (retro style) for £2.

    Good day out today!

First two series of Lewis Boxset for £6.50 - nice present for a friend on her Birthday. Perks of helping out in a charity shop is you get to see the bargains first!

EDIT - It's actually Series 1-4 even better than I thought!

4 packs of wolford opaque tights still in their packets 50p each original sticker price £20 - I have a pair that were a present a year ago that have been worn once a week and gone through the machine accordingly and still look fab, so very pleased with this bargain, cheaper opaques do NOT last and still look good. lovely accessorise scarf 75p. Monsoon tweed trousers £4 and pair of SweatyBetty yoga pants for £6. Very pleased with my haul - but if the charity shop gods are listening, I need a pushchair/buggy at a reasonable price please, my sister is expecting and she will get mine, but my 3 year old will still need one for long walks as she gets tired - pretty please
Love many, trust few, learn to paddle your own canoe.

“Don’t have children if you can’t afford them” is the “Let them eat cake” of the 21st century. It doesn’t matter how children got here, they need and deserve to be fed.
  • I got a big yankee candle for 99p at the weekend, and its only been burned for an hour at most I'd say. Maybe they didn't like the smell?

I have twins (one of each!) and their school have decided that they're having a "dress in PURPLE" day on Friday! PURPLE! How many BOYS have purple things?

Got boychild a great collared t-shirt (rather smart actually!) for 75p and then saw a long chiffon type top with tapered sides (down the sides, ending in a point, if you see what I mean) with sequins around the neckline. It's actually a top for a 9 year old (my children are 4.5) but with a little silver belt that I already have and some leggings underneath to keep her warm, it has made an amazing floaty dress for girlchild which she is delighted with. Cost £1.75.

The only downside of charity shops for me is the books. I currently have about 400 unread books so I REALLY don't need to see a ton more that I'd love to read at supercheap prices!

I found a huge serving plate and two large casserole dishes/serving bowls from the PYREX Snowflake range for £1 each.

I love this pattern and I'm trying to get a full set up together so I was chuffed to bits with todays find :D
