My parents had a huge pink one that had a big fan shaped pattern that I used to love the feel of, I bought a pink one a couple of years back but the husband wasn't keen on the colour, I'm hoping this yellow will sell it to him0

I love this pattern and I'm trying to get a full set up together so I was chuffed to bits with todays find
Aaaargh - I had a complete set of this when I first got married :rotfl: all I have left is one small lidded dish (well it was nearly 50 years ago!) moved on to the Denby Imperial Blue now
DS1 now asks me to keep a look out for certain things glad he's savvy & doesn't have any hang ups about 'preloved' items. I'm still looking for a stainless steel spiked meat dish for him - I'm sure one will turn up eventually.Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0 -

Brand new, still in original box marked £15.99, mini slow cooker for £3 - exactly what I wanted as my current one only has one heat setting (this one has low, high and auto), and this one has a removable cookpot which my old one doesn't
.
Also a pair of seemingly unworn ecco shoes for £6... similar styles around £65 on the ecco website. A very good day!I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

Today I only bought 2 very small things having popped in half a dozen charity shops, and they weren't remotely interesting!
A nice solid old fashioned tablespoon for 20p (I don't own any and they're so useful for serving up) and a little hanging magnetic picture frame doo-dad for 25p.A waist is a terrible thing to mind.0 -
A sewing machine table complete with a Singer sewing machine for $25 CDN.
I bought a sewing machine last year and have been looking for the table on and off. The sewing machine drops down and then the table folds over to look like a table not a work station. The clerk in the Salvation Army shop told me that he's pretty sure the machine works because the woman who brought it in said her Mum used it up until she went into the nursing home.
Do, I think I might take it in to get serviced and see if it's usable.0 -
Wondercollie - Great bargain - just think how that lady would love that her machine is still being used. I know I would!Small victories - sometimes they are all you can hope for but sometimes they are all you need - be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle0

Hi all
This week so far i've got a H&M leopard print angora beret 99p, a pair of Coast wool cream trousers £4.30 and although it was a lot of money from a charity shop i've got a newborn Monsoon baby outfit. Its a beautiful dress and a gold shrug with some matching shoes brand new with tags for £10. I've looked it up on the website and the dress alone without the shoes and shrug was originally £75 so its such a bargain.
I'm off to my local carboot tomorrow. The local one started up again Sunday and i'm loving all the bargains.

Today I popped into a charity shop in a town abut 30min from where I live, most of the stock was €1! I got a 1970s Coffee jar for €1 - the plastic lid is a bit grotty, will give it a good clean though, made in England - I love the simple retro styling of this era so was well chuffed! Also picked up a nice denim pinafore from Dunnes Stores, probably about 10 years old, not sure if it will fit, but it was a €1 - will pass onto a friend or eBay if not.
A month ago got a brand new River Island checked shirt for my brother for €6, and a Boden cord jacket for €3. A member of Westlife had recently donated a load of stuff there so there were some good mens shirts and leather jackets.
I'm guessing you were maybe in my "User Name" town!! The Westlife guy was probably clearing out his big house that is now up for sale!0
