    Today I got:

    Boys black school trousers, 75p
(I know you can buy these quite inexpensively at the supermarkets, but my son gets through so many pairs of these because he plays football at playtime!)

    Boys Jeans £1

    Boys Nike T90 T-shirt - £2

Girls Blue gingham summer school dress - 75p

    Mousetrap game - 50p

    Dumbo Jigsaw - 50p
:p Busy working Mum of 3
  • I got two dvds for DS and two paperbacks for mum (unread I think) - £2 for the lot - they had a bogof sale on everything at our local hospice shop

I got some books yesterday - all 50p each. I think the hardbacks take up so much space & they're heavy for some people, that some of the CS have difficulty selling them.

I also got some Country Life, BBC Wildlife, & BBC Countryfile magazines for 20p each.

But the thing I'm most excited about is some sheet music with the most beautifully coloured cover in lovely condition. It's got little gnomes playing leapfrog in the moonlight & they're being watched by little bunnies. It originally cost 2/- & it was mine for 20p! :) I'm going to frame it.

*** ha ha, just had another look at the cover & as the music is called Goblin Gambols, they must be goblins rather than gnomes :D ***

Albany Road, and Whitchurch Road are full of Charity shops and they get some really nice stuff in.

Thank you for this! I got myself a gorgeous glittery red and gold stripey tank top for £3 -- perfect for the Gryffindor in me! :p Cardiff was fab as well, really enjoyed my time there.

Last week I got a lovely brown padded jacket, with furry edged hood, (Per Una) from the hospice shop for £7. Surprisingly it doesn't make me look as if I am wearing a duvet! Machine washable so put it through the washer and wore it yesterday in the bitter cold wind....kept me all warm and toasty. So pleased :j
  • 2 fantastic bargains this week - pair of next jeans £2 - dont look like they have been worn and at an indoor car boot sale yesterday a brand new with tags weird fish cosy fleece - paid £8 - cheapest i can find it online is £45 :)

Great bargain last week- a Hobbs tweed jacket and skirt for £6. Couldn't believe it!

I'm a total charity shop convert. Can anyone recommend any shops in and around London where I might find other good deals?

I got my Hobbs stuff from Haven House Hospice in Chingford
    Debt free 6th December 2014 :)

    I shouldn't read this board. :(
We are having work done on the house so I need a clear out. I even turned down Mr F's offer to visit my favourite charity shop yesterday.

  • I've had some amazing charity shop bargain recently, but I think today's was one of my best ever. A gorgeous turquoise Craghoppers coat, like new, for £6.95 in a Sue Ryder shop. If that wasn't bargain enough, it was also BOGOF on everything for I also got a M&S sweatshirt that will be perfect for running and the gym. I am a very happy bunny.
