I contacted Scottish Power to ask when I might expect to receive a credit on my account as it wasn't showing when I checked online. I was told it was credited on 19th March and would show when I get my next quarterly statement. I pay by direct debit.
It's due in the next few weeks so I will find out for sure then.0 -
I'm with Scottish power and have an online account, keep checking but no credit as of yet.... anyone had it from SP and showing online?0

h scottish power too, and it was around the middle of may before the WHD showed up on my accoubt last year.
the website is worse than useless. it keeps telling me that i havent supplied a meter reading, when i have the e mail thanking me for my reading on 26 jan.
it also says my previous meter reading was some 2000 units lower yjam it was in november ( reading before last)
i know it is a new website, but it really isnt good enough

Same here. Online Scottish Power account not showing my Warm Home Discount yet. I applied in October 2013 and have a reference number. I've sent them an email enquiring as to when it will be applied to my account. No point phoning, it's takes ages to get through and then they tell you they don't know!
They were sending me emails telling me that "my meter readings were still overdue" on a monthly basis until I sent them a very "firm" email asking them why they wanted meter readings on a monthly basis, my account is in credit and I pay by direct debit.
My friend who has a pre-payment meter got his in January and we live in the same area???0 -
I have a prepayment meter.....I rang Scottish Power on Friday and was told my £135 had been approved. I put £5 on card yesterday and had a £140 credit when I put key in.
Wouldn't have known anything about this if I hadn't read about it on MSE.0 -
What criteria do you need to fulfil to qualify for this energy discount? Do you need to be a pensioner or disabled or on benefits?
Many thanks.0 -

In general, yes.
https://www.gov.uk/the-warm-home-discount-scheme/overview
Some pensioners automatically qualify. (This is NOT the winter fuel payment or cold weather payment).
http://www.npower.com/spreading_warmth/home/warm-home-discount/ for example has listed their qualification criteria for the 'broader group' over this automatic entitlement.
In short - either on low income benefits, with children or a disability.0 -

Scottish Power offered it to some on a low income that were not disabled/ had children etc. They have not yet announced their criteria for this year, but it is worth checking the criteria for each supplier.0 -
I received mine on Saturday from British Gas,
I'd rang them on Friday because I received a letter saying it would be paid by the end of March and I hadn't heard anything,
The nice lady also informed me I would be receiving a further £60 in April. I can't quite remember why but I will be looking out for it
Happy bunny0
