If u get any dis premiums with JSA/ESA etc then u qualify.

Hi, I've qualified for the scheme in previous years (child under 5, income less than £16,000) and have just received the letter to apply for this year. My child turns 5 at the end of December though so does anybody know if I will still be eligible? I can't find any information on it (I'm with British Gas).

as long as you meet the qualifying criteria when you apply, then you will still be entitled

does anyone know the closing date for applications for the whd with EDF energy?

I have this morning switched/signed up from M+S energy to EDF and the EDF sales person said that applications are still open and to contact their main customer services to apply for the discount after the call finished. I did this and was told that until I have customer numbers they cant do anything and wasnt even sure if i could apply during the switchover time period.

If I miss it then i would have been better off staying with M+S and claiming the discount with them again, losing it in effect cancels out any savings made by switching. can anyone advise?

I think with British Gas you have to have been a electricity customer for the previous year to qualify. Don't know if EDF is the same. I only stay with BG because I get the warm home discount otherwise I'd switch too.
