Also EVERYONE who was eligible got the discount from Scottish Power in 2012/13 so why is everyone so worried about getting in now when you have until about next February? to register?!:)

How do you know every eligible applicant received the discount? From reading this thread, this really isn't the case...

Also, the reason folks are worried about applying for the next discount, is because the application page closes whenever Scottish Power decides to close it! I for one, would like my application in at the earliest opportunity.

British Gas is open for Warm Home Grant, but can't apply online.
Sent then an email asking about it and they replied saying you have to ring up to apply - no online form because the details needed are too complex and individual to each application.
Rang up and have applied for 2013/2014. Got a nice lady who knew what she was doing for a change. Made sure I was registered for Priorty Service/Nectar Points and Cheapest Suitable Tariff.

I've never seen posters bemoaning the fact they haven't been thanked for their original post before :silenced:

Many read the last few pages of lengthy threads, and do not start at the beginning, especially when their google keyword search directly takes them to page 25 for example.

Anyhow I will thank you, AND give you as many presents for your thread that I could get my hands on, including coffee, cake, beer, lots of hugs and even a gold star to make you feel better :D

I've just noticed that you've already been thanked 17,487 times - how many thanks do you want or need? :rotfl:

Received Email from Southern electric, which said they are starting to send out the form to sign. They said you cannot do it on line as they have to get a signature. If not received form by end September to contact them!

So, the Scottish Power applications for the Warm Home Discount open in June 2013....

It must be killing them to action this, as there's just five days left till July ;)

    We're all waiting on tenterhooks.

The website will go into meltdown & crash when it happens. :rotfl:

And all that to get a payment next year !

And the last two days of June are at the weekend which means logically it should appear on Scottish Powers website in the next three days!?

Apparently its taking longer than expected to thaw out the dedicated WH team from cold storage.

I did phone them up last week and was told to 'look again' at the end of June:o

One change in the criteria is the one regarding Exemption from Prescription Charges, this will only qualify if it is a Medical Exemption for customers in England as those in Wales and Scotland get 'em free anyway:p

as i have moved redcently, i have talked to scottish power a fair bit.
today when i spoke to them, they asked if the new meter that had been put in was a 'smart meter' ( it isnt because it was put in as an emergency)
they went on to say that all meters would be changed by 2019, and i would no longer need someone to read it for me .....
then went onto say that it wouldnt matter if i did have a smar meter, because theyre not geared up for them yet anyway, and so i would still need to send them readings.

    made me chuckle ....

It's Friday 28th June 2013 and Scottish Powers own website still has the 'opening for applications in June' message.

i.e. it's still not open. It's still June. So its July?:(
