Where did you go on honeymoon?

Thanks all - what a lovely load of a replies... Sounds like you all had fab honeymoons
Australia, four weeks touring in a campervan from Sydney to Brisbane, and then on to Fiji... truly the most beautiful place we have ever been to. Think desert island, nothing to do all day but eat, drink, sunbathe, snorkel... Yes it costs money, but the memories you will take home with you will last a lifetime.:j
We were living in Sydney until last year, in fact DD was conceived there... And we spent Christmas 2010 in Fiji which was AMAZING!
I think because we've travelled to and backpacked in some far flung places and aren't really all-inclusive-package-holiday people, it kind of makes it harder to pick. I've been to Corfu before and loved it, whereas OH thinks Greece sounds a bit naff and we both think that as a honeymoon it needs to have some kind of wow-factor!
We would love love love to take DD round India for 3 months, but I'm not sure that would really be in her best interests...0 -
Seychelles... hated it

We just ended up (aah hindsight) in the wrong hotel for honeymooners. Weather was bad. And somebody thought it was a good idea to spend every evening in the casino playing with billionnaire sheikhs, just cos he was on holiday.
:rotfl: I am told I am the only one in the world who feels like this:wall:0 -

Ate oodles of fine chocolate in Belgium. lol0 -
Three days in London was all that we could afford, but still care about each other as then fifty years ago, a couple of weeks ago.
Have holidayed in four continents since.

We went on safari in Kenya - DH wasn't keen on it at first but loved it, and wants to go back on our 5th anniversary :T
The lodge we were at was occupied purely by honeymooners, a lot of them from our end in east london! So obv a populr thing to do..
Not sure if you could do it with a baby though, would probably be a bitesized treat for a wandering lion or leopard :rotfl:We got rid of the kids. The cat was allergic.

We went to the Seychelles and loved it! We stayed at the Banyan Tree in a private villa with our own pool which was on the beachfront. Pure luxury and bliss for 8 nights! Would definitely recommend it to anyone!MFW £190,450/£141,1400 -
We went to Crete for a week, four nights in Athens, and then a week in Mykonos... Planned it ourselves via booking.com and easyjet!
I highly recommend Crete - loads to see on the island, lots of opportunities for day trips, and very child friendly. We had dinner at Castelvecchio in Rethymno one night, and it was a honeymoon restaurant highlight.0 -
We did Las Vegas, Washington DC and New York. We had a fantastic time and it started our Vegas obsession (despite me being worried that I'd hate the place).0

First time (1985) we couldn't afford a honeymoon. Second time around (2000) and with three kids, we had three nights in a B&B in Rye by ourselves and then had two weeks in our touring caravan in Cornwall.0

We're going to Koh Samui, Thailand for 2 weeks. Can't wait!!0
