Where did you go on honeymoon?

I'm looking for inspiration, so just being nosey!
OH and I have been together 10 years and we're getting married in September this year. By then, we'll have a 9 month old DD who will come with us on our honeymoon; we've travelled a lot just the two of us so are looking forward to going away with our baby too but obviously have to factor in her well-being! We're tossing up between keeping it simple (eg. villa in Greece) or doing something a bit more adventurous (eg. California roadtrip) or doing something more honeymoonish (eg. Maldives).
So anyway, where did you go / what did you do for yours?

Congratulations.
We did Bali, Hong Kong, followed by a cruise around the south China sea (stopping at Vietnam, China etc).0 -
We went to Turkey and had a great time! We didn't have any kids back then though. Turkey was still very cheap when we got married. I think we spent the equivelant of £10 a night on a steak meal and as much alcohol as we could both drink!

I know how to do things in style.:D
Seriously. I can think of no worse way to start a marriage than to blow large amounts of money you'll soon need on an expensive wedding and honeymoon.0 -

Finances didnt allow us a honeymoon when i married my husband... well that and the fact we would have had to take my two children. I'd got the debts the ex left me with and he'd got a string of motoring offences a mile long from riding his motorbike.:(
I had a honeymoon after my first wedding though. We did a tour of London (especially all the sex shops
). At the age of 17 i'd never seen anything like it.:rotfl: This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

What will you need it for? Most people these days live together before marriage - and I don't know many people who've dived into baby making on the wedding night...
I did 3 weeks travelling around Florida for mine, before flying up to NYC for a week. Was an *excellent* start to married life

Mine wont inspire you, I had a weekend in Cornwall staying with my aunt and my parents came too.0 -
We rented a beautiful cottage at Drumnadrochit overlooking Loch Ness. It was amazing. We went in October so everything was still open but the tourists had gone. We went on lovely scenic drives to Beauly and Sky.0
