there are lods of cheap seed packs in poundland. I bought a pack containg 2 types of peas and one of runner beans, the pack contain 215 seeds which is a bargain for a quid, also bought 1 pack with 6 different herbs (800 seeds) and a pack containing spicy ingredients like peppers, coriander, mustard greens, chiili pepper, basil and oriental spicy leaf mix (446 seeds). all that for THREE POUNDS!!!!:j0

look out for Netto seeds, 19p last week but not much choice left.0

Went looking for netto and discovered that we have two Lidls here within 10 minutes walk in different directions.
The big one has seeds and the small one none. packets are labelled 1=29p, 2=49p and 3 but i could not get the price for those. If they are only 49p, then that makes them very much the cheapest anywhere for peas and beans. Some basics - cabbage, two types of carrots, several of radishes and two sorts of yellow beans and at least two sorts of tomato in the 29p packets. But some unusual goodies - the Chard is Lucullus which is not common here but is the best variety IMO, because it is very hardy and remains tender after freezing weather. Also kohlrabi, gherkins (two sorts), rond de Nice courgettes. Seed numbers seem to be higher than for more expensive suppliers.
The more expensive seed includes hybrid tomatoes, pumpkin, patty pan squash.
if anyone can confirm the pea and bean price, would like to know.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -

I bought some carrots, onions and pansies today from Lidl. Please be aware that the packets have very little info on the back with regards to sowing etc, especially for any newbies0

My friend just got one but says it doesn't cut very low on the lowest setting. Seems odd for a quality mower - any ideas anyone?0
