    Also no gift when our child was born but he brought me everything I asked for including all the pillows off our bed, our digital radio and lots of ice-pops. Hormones made me boiling!

  • I think exchanging gifts is a lovely idea - you don't have to push the boat out financially, just make it thoughtful. I've been to weddings where it was done, and ones where it wasn't - it's not fashion or tradition, it's personal :)

    Um we exchanged wedding rings. That was in 87 and as far as i can remember that was it.

    I was going to buy mine an underwater camera but as I've now had to cover almost all of his contribution to the wedding I think he can go whistle ;)
