I suppose the obvious choice is jewellery...

Maybe something inscribed - a bangle or something on a necklace?

I got my hubby a wooden 'wedding keepsake box' with some personal words inscribed on the top (from a song he likes, slightly adapted for us). Not mega pricey, but you could do something similar.

  • I went for some diamond earrings, her parents bought her the matching necklace and she wore them on the wedding day.

She still wears the earrings quite a lot now

My husband bought me a painting by an artist we both love.

It's entitled "Joy" and sums up our wedding day nicely! :)

I gave my DH a picture of Battersea power station, it came from a comment he made months before that as he grew up there whenever he saw it it meant that he was nearly home.

It was a complete surprise for him and he loves it and it has pride of place in our living room :)

He didn't actually give me anything but I wasn't expecting anything either and I do like the picture so its all good!

  • How about a spa day for her, or for her and her mum or a best friend. The run up to a wedding is exciting, but can also be exhausting and stressfull, what with all the arrangements. It may not be a present that lasts forever but the memories of the day would, which I think is just as nice.

I have a few other ideas but without knowing the budget on this it is difficult to know what to advise. Would you mind telling us what the budget is?
