    Hi
i have sky cos i can't anyother company etc...

i never watch sky one in fact no one in the house watches it

my son is 11 he doesn't watch it so there must not be much on for kids as they moved the wrestling some time ago

can't believe some people here crying out for that and news channels surely there is enough rubbish to watch and there is always internet:mad:

just my opinion so keep your nik naks on:D

Just because it doesn't have anything on that you or your family want to watch, it doesn't mean that it doesn't have things that other people want to watch. That's why a lot of people are 'crying out' for it. :) x

  • I will be canceling my Sky subscription to support Virgin Media.
I urge others to do the same, lets show Sky that their monopoly days are over.

Just another Note: Sky did not make 24 any better, 24 was just as successful without them, they managed two seasons before sky bought the rights to show in the UK. Fox show 24 in the US

    Yeah!!!!

Great idea..... except for those of us that have NO choice but Sky!
Believe me, if I had cable in my area I'd have left Sky a LONG time ago....

    Think before you post!!

How many customers would have complained at paying an extra 90p per month to keep the channels???
That or lose them altogether!?? Seems like a no brainer to me!

What makes you say the website is legal ? I wouldn't think that it is.
(Just don't want you getting in trouble for posting a link to a dodgy website.)

The link I gave is a site that has been running for a few months now. Im sure it would of been shutdown if it wasnt legal.
And its not illegal to watch it anyway, surely they cant do u for watching free streaming!

The best client Ive ever used for torrents is Azureus - note u need to install javaruntime - torrents are supposed to be free. If u see anything which charges u anything for it, then dont go there.

a good site to get stuff is mininova

There are a number of sites where u have to register, but its generally free to join. If u do this, create a alternative email like operamail or something. The use this for signups.

torrents isnt illegal but material u download may be subject to copyright and that is - but eh, the whole world is doing it!

for those new to torrents, well basically u download a small file which contains everything about the file(s) u want to download. In order to use this file, u need a bittorrent client - like Azuerus and BitComet.
2 types of users that use torrents - seeders and leechers - seeders is someone sharing, leechers is someone downloading.
Its a sharing community, what u share (note - no one can see files on your computer!) so its good to keep a decent ratio - basically try to upload as much as u download. Its only fair

More info - check out the Wiki Pages

Just some advice, unless u are net savvy, dont download executables.
torrents is pretty safe generally, I recommend u dont use something like KaZaa also.
Sometimes u may download a avi file (movie format) and u cant play it, this is due to codecs required so download some codecs like xvid and u should be okay.
Some movies are compressed into one or more files, usually its RAR so u would need to install the winrar (if not already), that is free s/w, just google things I said

    Shopping Tips
Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.

Why would i want to do that? I'm sure Richard Branson/Virgin can support themselves. What is going to be achieved by somebody cancelling their sky tv (that they actually want to have). It's not going to benefit me to cancel, especially if i go to virgin who don't have sky one anymore. If you want to do this then go for it, but i don't think it's a good idea encourage others to do such a seemingly pointless thing lol.

:rotfl: This is exactly what I said, we could only have Sky in our apartment so when we moved here end of December we went straight to Telewest (mainly for the broadband but we got all 3 services because we thought it would be cheaper - it's not and we have less tv channels!) - What a big mistake that was!! I take back those exact words I said, I want Sky back :D
Virgin HAVE increased the price by a few ££ not just 90p! They have already done this, as my latest bill shows. They're taking the p**, increasing their charges and removing channels. Cheek!
    The £2.00 Coin Savers Club = approx £22.00  :j.. The 20p Savers Club = £17.80.
