I'm sure that Sky would welcome ex Virgin customers with some good 'New customer' offers.

You cant beat Jeff on Saturday afternoons along with Chris "Literacy master" Kamara`s observations,it is unmissable tv for all footy fans!
I would love some decent telly on a Saturday night0 -
I've just had my Virgin Media bill. I am being charged for the basic TV package, which used to include Sky One. This does not exist on their web-site. It is M, L, or XL. I don't know what I'm supposed to be getting now for the extra money.No one is answering the phone now at Virgin Media customer services.
M is supposed to be free with a Virgin telephone package, which I have got. Has anybody got this? It looks just like Freeview, which is all I want if I can't get Sky One.
Also I've started to compare what I pay with cable against what I could pay with Sky:
My Cable= Broadband 4mb unlimited download £25
Telephone line rental £10.50
Telephone cost evenings and weekends £5.50
Basic TV (no Sky) £5.50
Total = £46.50 per month.
Sky Max= Broadband 16mb unlimited download £10
Telephone line rental £11
Telephone cost, unlimited day, evening and weekends to land-lines £5
Basic Sky TV £15
Total = £41 per month.
I have liked Telewest customer service in the past, but you can't speak to anyone now. Having looked at these prices, Cable seems quite expensive in comparison. I am surprised.
I first saw this on the Which? web-site.
This link gives you all the information.

Well yep that's what Murdock is doing, being a big bully to make everyone go over to him, I'd rather sit on my hands and put up with losing Lost and all the other channels etc than give in to a big bully
Oh and for anyone who's interested here's the latest news from Virgin in the last hour saying they will not stop people from switching by using legal rangling about contracts etc. But I'm still not tempted to give Murdock his ball back.

Claire_DC wrote:Haha but that will never happen will it as there's always going to be a lot people who stay with sky, hence why there's no point in doing it - all it would result in for me/most people, is less channels for probably the same price since virgin have put up their prices anyway.
I'm with virgin for broadband and phone, but only by the skin of their teeth as they gave me a good offer to stay with them as i'd had no end of problems with them since joining 2 years or so ago, when they were still NTL of course.
It's a nice idea in theory but i don't think it would ever happen.;)0 -

You're on the old select pack which new customers can't sign up to. You should be able to switch to the free M pack by ringing them up or possibly online, but check the channel list first as it has a few less I think so you might loose something you want.0 -
