Oliver? Raggedy up a pair of old trousers by chopping into the hems a bit? Don't forget a cap and a bowl
I once sent DD as "the Very Hungry Caterpillar" her fave book at the time, by giving her deely bopper antennae and a sleeping bag on her back (green) secured under her arms with a piece of ribbon and belted at the waist IYSWIM..0 -
Miss Twit once went as Tigger...I managed to get some fun fur in a suitable print and made a tabard sort of thing and a long tail that was stuffed and sewn on.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0

We had to do this at school....
My brother went as dennis the menance, a black and red stripey jumper and black shorts and mum 'blacked' his hair (not sure how tho!)
I've been as Little Grey Rabbit (anyone remember that?!) I wore a dress with an apron over the top, fluffy tail on the back made out of cotton wool, had whiskers painted on, made ears out of cereal packet, coloured them in and stuck them onto a hairband and carried a little basket with carrots in! (but when I took the ears off a few people thought I was a cat?!)
Cant think of anything else right now.....0 -
We had ours today. They had to dress up as characters from Peter Pan. My 11 yr old isn't that into dressing up so we bought him a plain white t-shirt and gave him some fabric pens. He then wrote 'Where Am I?' on it in bubble writing.... He went as a lost boy
Seriously just have fun with it. The school won't mind what they wear.0 -
Um as daffs are in bloom what about Narcissus?
Dragon also appears in a Welsh legend/traditional tale - simplest explaination I can find here :-

This used to really cheese me off when my DD's were in primary. Usually asked that they brought the book along as well! DD1 was probably the longest serving tinkerbell in the school!0 -

Been to haberdashers and wilkinson. Got a white flat sheet for £5.99 for the toga. Some gold beaded ribbon for £2 for 1 metre to tie round his waist. A gold dangly fringed thing to hang off that for £1.50, then I bought some elastic (40p) and some gold leaves and sewed that onto the elastic, and 69p on a plastic recorder (thought it was less cumbersome than his guitar) and the verdict on the gold leaf crown? "Wow, it looks well good" - although judging by the conversations I have had with the other year 6 mums outside school, it looks like three quarters of the class aren't bothering to dress up as they cant think what to dress them as.
