World Book Day fancy dress

My son's nursery are celebrating world book day on Thursday and are asking all the children to dress as a character from their favourite book. Now he is only 7 months old so doesn't really have a 'favourite' book (well he does but no one else would know it), so I need to think of something that will be obvious (as he can't tell people who he is) and that he's happy to wear all day.
Does anyone have any ideas for a cheap and easy costume?

What would be easiest is to nip into mothercare or similar or even look on ebay and get a pooh bear/piglet/tigger babygrow. My daughter had a couple and they weren't too expensive.
I sent my son (called Jack) with a bag of dried beans and he was Jack and the beanstalk.0 -
As other posters have mentioned, when babe is this young it is difficult. you may be better to dress him in a top/outfit that has a book character on it already. Thomas the Tank, Noddy etc. There is plenty of time when you'll have to do fancy dress in the future (believe me...after a couple of years you'll have a whole ream of outfits ready for any occasion!) so don't go mad at this young age. I'm sure no one will be expecting your little one to get that dressed up!0

My DS (aged 7) is going as Harry Potter - white shirt, stripy tie, dark pullover and trousers, and a black cape previously used as a Halloween costume (but could perhaps be created from a spare piece of black material if you have it, or done without. If you had the other clothes maybe make a Hogworts logo to stick onto the jumper so people get the hint?0
