I have just typed a long message and it disappeared..............ggggggggggrrrrrrrrr
We had a remover call this morning to quote for our move, then I went over to see my friend and have some lunch with her, then back to collect OH and pay a quick visit to the Flats, we were not able to see the flat we have been allocated, but hopefully we will able to see it when we get back from Scotland.
I am still undecided about the bedroom carpet, I really would like to take it after all I paid to have them put down in the mistaken belief that we would be in this house until one of us shuffled off this mortal coil!!!!! Our problem is all the heavy furniture is on it, how to we move it to get the carpet up???? its a job we cannot do on our own, the removers have a large wardrobe to take to bits to get it out of the room, let alone down the stairs.
I am a bit daunted by all we have to sell, I think we will be able to put the dish washer in, so we will have a washer, condensing dryer, under worktop freezer, gas cooker, large pine dresser, gas cooker, dining table, my craft table and its trestles....a desk top computer and at least one sewing machine (I have 3)We did put some wall cuboards in here when we moved in, I am going to take those with me, there is only one cupboard on the wall and its a small one.......all the kitchen stuff will never fit in.......I might have tto ditch my microwave as well......not enough room on the work top...........ooooooohhhhhhhhhh its time for the bottle to make its appearance I need to finish last nights Glen Morangie............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Good Evening All
a little late in posting here
Had a rough day at work, felt sick and was nearly sick. So I finished work, went to pay a bill in the post office and came home to bed!
Felt ok, when I got up, mum had just popped in with her cat's cat food! (i dont mind her cat living with me - but I wont pay for its keep)
She says she got a problem with her exhaust, and wants ME to sort it over the wk end! wasn't the word, I said, I work mon-fri, sat-sun are the only days I get off to spend time with my family, shopping, cleaning etc. I had made plans for Sat morning (town & pay rest of the monthly bills) but no - she wants her exhaust sorting!
Anyway, OH took me shopping, and I got some nice casual & work tops in the Next Clearance Store. Then treated me to a meal afterwards.
Got back home in time for the kids to arrive back from their dad's. My son chose to ignore his dad when he dropped him off, so now Im getting nasty text's coming through, Ive got 3 to read, but will chose to ignore them!
DD is having a silence moment :silenced:, she says she's lost her voice, and writing every communication saying down - I wander how long she can keep this up for
she's talking to OH, so obviously Im not favourite.
My hairdresser should have turned up, but text to say she will come monday! Suits me fine, but means OH will have to take DD to a party!
Right, I will try & read the thread, but not long took a sleeping tablet, and I think its working allready!
By for now
Hope you've all had a good day - And I apologise for any ignorance on my part for having no mentions about folk
Good night

Had a great evening, thanks. We were into the car park at 6:43:37 and sat down at 6:44:22, just in time for the 6:45 deadline, and rise in price!!!! I'm now full up to the top, and can taste nothing but garlic. Please don't come too close - bet you can all smell it , too
The spicy garlic bread was delish - took great care to examine it closely, and will be making it myself :rolleyes:Shez wrote:evening!
but - how do you get just plain old sweet popcorn?? I sprinkled sugar onto it when it came out - but it sinks to bottom of the bowl - how do I get it to stay stuck to the popcorn?? someone must have the secret!
The Miss Penguin method (TM, Patent Pending) is to take a large pan, and warm some golden syrup. Add the popcorn to approx half fill the pan and stir. This coats the corn nicely. This method was arrived at after lots of trial and error when we went into industrial quantities for DD's form's fundraising for Enterprise Week last year. Each form was given £10 to use to raise as much as they could. They ran a cinema, and DD made 2 bin liners (clean ones
) full of popcorn   . Her form raised the most of any class in the school, and bought about 8 goats. :T :T :Tshez wrote:((cwtch))

Sorry folk
Just come on again after a quick squint this morning. Second day back at work and the important paperwork has been dealt with. Mundane stuff can wait until next week. DGSs delivered to me at work circa 3.00 pm for 2 sleeps. DGS2 was sick twice last night so a wee bit touch and go but he seems as bright as a button today but not eating - nature's way probably to say go slow!
They sat in work and did colouring in and a visiting tutor (doing early years multimedia!) was so taken with them that she has sent 12 computer programmes home for the weekend! DGS1 totally happy but don't want him at puter too long.
When DGS1 went to bed tonight I said I would be sleeping in Granny and Grandad's bed. His reply was, no you had better sleep in with us as Liam might be sick again and I might want a cuddle! Probably easier to do this than put baby alarm on. We had a very interesting talk about ardvarks tonight after bedtime story! What on earth can you say about them!!! DGS2 kept going round tonight saying Grandad all gone (as you know DH away with pals for another two weeks) and he kept sitting on Grandad's chair saying Where are you Grandad?
Sorry to go on about the boys but they are our pride and joy!
DD was looking rather tired and drawn (she has had two nights very broken sleep) and had to go on shift tonight at 6.00 pm. Hopefully DSIL will have broken the back of the painting tonight and she will get long lie tomorrow. Kyle - don't know how you manage with such little sleep!
If weather fine going to Family Farm with baby animals and a train tomorrow. Alternative plan is Dobbies for new fish (some have died this week and DGS1 and I had to consign one to bin in net tonight). He has also requested a visit to ToysrUs tomorrow and says he hopes it's a rainy day! Do you think he wants me to buy him a new train!
Boys love their new table and chairs I put together last night. DGS1 so totally taken there is a chair for DGS3 when born! He said tonight he is going to share his bedtime cuddly with his new baby brother!
Ordered an Indian carry-out tonight as so busy with boys - it was just awful and they have just called at the door to refund money as I refused a second delivery when I phoned to complain. Had my money refunded but they won't be getting my business again!
Hope all are well. Hugs and kisses to those who need it. Welcome to any new posters. Congratulations to anyone with a significant date today!
Love

Evening!
Been out all day! Did well at physio but now hurt all over! My course came to an end today as well but was well worth doing and I have joined the gym  Just for some gentle swimming, the machines are out of bounds for me thank goodness!
Busygirl - you will love the welshcakes, I have already had requests from the family to make more. DD loved them and that is encouragement enough. She is now a stone underweight and worrying me. Anyone got some tempting, rib sticking, put weight back on recipes?
Kyle your hair looks lovely, I would put photos of my new cut on but don't want to scare anyone! The cut is lovely, shame about the rest of me!:rotfl:

Well a happy result in that my Dad is going to help me with my mortgage-we are behind on 4 months payments but we only need the loan untill the end of the financial year. Only he was so disgusted that my Mum refused as she is better off than him that they rowed all night by phone ! They have been separated for 2 years and she took everything including the house, car and cat ! Anyway he is gonna lend me the money so we can sleep a little better tonight. My OH has taken him 4 a beer to say thanx so I have a break 4 a while.
I feel so crap at the moment which feels really strange because no matter what happens I can usually see a positive, my boys keep me going but I am losing steam. If I lose ooomph then I know my OH will lose it so I will stay strong for him.
Good luck on Tue Sahmx5-u r the only one than can protect yr boy so go 4 it
Kyle am so jelous I have a very irational fear of hair dressers so am destined to live my life with shoulder lenght straight mousey hair !
Granny Boon we have given up on Indian takeaways-I know that somtimes u need something that is quick but noone cooks to the standard I expect-I find waitrose do good carry out boxex that can be heated in the microwave.
