Wow! Thats a Spreadsheet, capitals and sparkles all over it. Very impressive.I know what you mean about the weather - I was in two minds whether to go out, but between horizontal rain and *three* hail showers, I decided not!2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Morning all,
So I have woken up with a 'new, persistent' coughI'm pretty sure it's nothing but a cough/cold (as I'm sneezing a bit too), but of course, I'm now confined to quarters (except for exercise) for the next 7 days. Pretty much the same as if I didn't have a cough then! It's weird that this is considered in any way significant - but these are weird times!
Karma - we did manage a quick walk round the block later, but my goodness was it chilly! The robin has been making regular appearances in our front garden over the weekend, which has been really lovely. Am considering taking a leaf out of Jess's book and ordering some mealworms for him - we have a much neglected bird feeder in the front garden that I could top up (neglected because the birds just don't come to visit!). Had a lovely catch up with extended family yesterday afternoon, via Zoom. We have agreed to make this a regular weekly event for the duration.
Typically, I had a call from the vets this morning - the first I've had - asking if I could take someone's pet into them. Of course, I had to decline! How frustrating and I feel really bad for letting them down. But it can't be helped. It looks like I might be 'on call' for some time, so I'm sure there'll be other opportunities!
I've had a bit more work sent through this morning, which I wasn't expecting. It also came with assurances that the work for this particular client is unlikely to dry up as they can all work from home. Hooray! So it continues to trickle in

Oh no vix, hope you feel better soon!
Yay to the robin! Hopefully, if you put the mealworms out you'll get some more visitors. If you build it, they will come! I once saw a robin attack a pigeon because it was eating his mealworms, it was like David vs Goliath and very funny to watch, the pigeon finally flew off because it must of got sick of being pestered while trying to eatMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Morning all,
Thanks Jess. Feel brighter today but still have a pesky cough. Normally it wouldn't even be something to mention! I'm not sure about the birds - I love feeding them, but it's a bit of a concrete jungle round here and they have never really taken me up on the offerings in the past (food sits and rots in the feeder instead). Love the story about the robin and the pigeon - that may well happen here... no shortage of wood pigeons!
I've paid myself this morning and paid all my bills. Have moved a small (£9) OP to the holding account - I'll pay this off once the standard payment has gone out. All other money will be saved though. Managed to pay myself less than normal and still have money leftover (as well as money left in the business account). This will help with next month's bills. Invoicing for the month looked pretty good, so hopefully with the absolutely minimal spending this month, things will be OK for a while.
I've also written myself a list of things to do each day, so that I have some focus. No order, and nothing too big, but it'll help me feel more productive. I don't normally have a problem with this, but I think with DH around all the time and less work than normal it's all a bit vague...
MS things:
* Clicks - and 125 SB survey done
* DH has SORNed the mini - he was hoping to have it back on the road by now, but clearly it's not going anywhere for a couple of months
* Couple of PA surveys
* Supermarket delivery arriving later - and BIL is going to get us a couple of bits we couldn't get on the order (and take the post to the PO)
Gratitudes:
* Family so near
* Spring!
* Woke up in a super positive mindset today - no idea why as I slept terribly (in spare room) - realised as I lay in bed in the middle of the night that we hadn't put the dishwasher on, so I went at did it at 1.30am!

A correction to my previous comment about exercise... the NHS website says you can go out for exercise even when self isolating due to symptoms as long as you stay away from people. The government website says you cannot... why can’t they be consistent? I discovered this while out on my walk... well I know now (didn’t pass close to any humans or touch anything, so think I’m pretty ok with that).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

It seems inconsistent and confusing information has been a major issue throughout this whole thing! Glad to hear you had a nice walkMortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Hope you're still "just a pesky cough" today, madvix, or better still, not coughing at all. Inconsistent info seems to be a real issue at the moment - we do the best we can - I try to do *more* than is recommended, actually - I'll stay further than 2 metres away from people that approach, to be honest.

Afternoon all,
Aargh, SL you are quite right... but it's hidden amongst several suggestions about exercise in your own home, which is what I saw. So I can go out? The messages are confusing!! Thanks NG, weird times indeed! Karma - I'm definitely staying more than 2m away from people and yesterday found myself 'plotting' escape routes when I saw people coming towards me. I guess the issue is when other people aren't taking it seriously and won't get out of the way. Jess my mealworms should arrive today!
I am still coughing... and losing my voice. Tried to do some singing with niece via whatsapp, but had to give up in the end as I couldn't stop coughing. However, other than that, I still feel fine.
Not a lot happening here, just my daily activities list. Have finished all work for now. Will go and enjoy a walk later!
MS things:
* Several PA surveys
* Clicks etc.
* Returned the extortionate substitutions on my supermarket deliveyr yesterday - 4x jars of 54p passata swapped for £2.99/jar passta. No thanks, will survive until I can get out and source some elsewhere!
Gratitudes:
* Fun-ish singing time with niece
* I *can* go for a walk!!
* Some good laughs from the stuff circulating on social media
Have a good afternoon all!
