I see the point on the not running in the morning thing. I'm considering shifting to running every evening but for shorter runs just to get away from the house. I always have a small dog walk as part of my run recovery but may well extend the walk, and providing I physically don't go in the house I'm classing the walk & run as 1 outing!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......6

Hi Vix, careful cancelling if it’s Riverford as I see they said you have more security with a regular order than weekly changing one off orders at the moment. Ignore me if this doesn’t apply please 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3

Morning all,
Jimmy, I think that's fair enough - from what I recall your dog only has little legs, so it's not as if he could run with you! NG - thanks, but I've only cancelled the week's delivery, not my recurring one for the same thing. That should be fine(Just posted similar on your diary!)
Jess and NG (and anyone else who wants a bit of nature but can't get it...) I've just shared some footage and photos of my morning walk on my NTbyBus Instagram - I think this is the link. I spent ages there this morning and it was wonderful! And I virtually had it to myself again.Will use some Amazon credit to order a litter picker though - I normally collect random clean bits of litter on my walks and put it in the bin, but don't fancy touching anything at the moment, so will get the litter picker (which has been on my 'consideration list' for a while). Hopefully I can make a real difference to the litter around here over the next few weeks (and there be less being dropped as fewer people out and no school).
I did get some gardening done yesterday - planted some ancient squash seeds to see if any germinate (on windowsill) and also some broad beans. Prepped the pot for my runners, but discovered it's a bit early for them. Today I might head out into the front garden and see if I can tame it a bit. Also a small work project to do and surveys, of course.
Gratitudes:
* Peaceful woodland, cacophonous birdsong
* Saw a pair of nuthatches (never spotted them 'in the wild' before - always on bird feeders) looking for nesting site
* The warmth of the sun, after a chilly start!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I keep grilling my Mum about when the runner beans are going in (I don't have a garden) - have neglected to tell her I still have a bag of last year's crop in the freezer 😂Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Oops, that reminds me about my Canaries photos - I'll get to it, my account had gone dormant, and I've uploaded two, but cleaning kind of took over.

Afternoon all,
Woke up with a sore throat (no, it's not *that*) this morning and another night of little sleep, so feeling pretty low energy. Did Joe Wicks's PE lesson yesterday evening... might give today's a go soon. It wasn't like I remember primary school PE - much harder!
Was very pleased to hear about the help for SE people yesterday. While I'm okay at the moment, there's no guarantee that that will last (and if this is prolonged/as bad as it looks it might be in the US, I may permanently lose clients). Have done another couple of small bits of work today. DH went into the office briefly this morning to collect some bits as they are closing it for the foreseeable future (everyone is now homeworking). His company is in a very fortunate position at the moment as business is booming and we are exceedingly grateful for his job security.
Have baked bread and brandy snaps today (no eggs or baking powder required, which is handy). Had not made brandy snaps before - a bit fiddly but okay once I got the hang of them. They are not filled with cream as they're meant to be - just a naughty snack.
Dinner tonight will be leftover dhal from last night. Looking forward to the new series of Friday Night Dinner tonight - it is actually DH's family!(ooh two opportunities to use my favourite smiley!
) Have had a video call with Sis (Niece) and Mum, and will do one with Dad soon. Sorted out my birthday card stash earlier - April is mega busy for birthdays and I'd bought some but not all of them before the lockdown/social distancing. Some will have to be improvised! Is it acceptable to send a train-mad three-year-old boy an old postcard with a steam engine on it? It does look old... but at least the subject matter is spot on, right?
MS things:
* Dhal for dinner - dirt cheap and leftovers from yesterday
* PA survey
* Clicks
Gratitudes:
* Lunch in the sunny garden
* The virtual Grand National to look forward to
* That DH won't need to go into the office again now
The infection/death figures are looking pretty awful at the moment, aren't they? Stay safe, at home and well everyone!
