Thanks for the sympathy SC 😂
NG, I think we’ll be able to get most of it back, but it’s the headache of sorting it I’m not looking forward to - everything is individually booked and we’re not staying anywhere for more than 3 nights (plus cars, flights, activities).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Work is still trickling in, which is a good thing, but I'm all caught up now. I heard back from the cattery - no cancellation fee. My heart goes out to them though.After an email from the surgery last night, I've been in touch with the vets to offer my transport services for people who are self-isolating and need their pets seen by the vet. They were really grateful! We'll see what happens, but they have said they won't take the mickey. I think I might be sitting around not doing much otherwise - certainly no cat-sitting now!
I'm not sure what I'm going to do for the rest of the day. I've been out for a quick walk. I have done quite a few PA surveys, when they clear I'll be at £20 to cash out. I've also had feedback from Ebayers, so can transfer money from PP to my OP savings account - I will keep it separately - it's not as if I'll get much (any??) interest on it. At least that should be some motivation to move stuff across when possible.
MS things:
* PA surveys
* Other surveys
* Comps entered
* Work done
* Donated avocados on toast for lunch
* HM pizza for tea
Gratitudes:
* Watched a Brad Paisley 'home concert' on Instagram last night - it's great that people are doing these! (and technology is just amazing!) He had an audience of soft toys set up
* Free stamps from RM survey - such a boon at the moment!
* Company all the time while DH works from home
Stay safe and well everyone, have a good day!

Sounding good with you and oh. As for what to do, when we had a rough few days at the end of the cruise, I copied some of the pilates core strength exercises my sister was doing - one was really simple, heel and toeing up and down the cabin, took a surprising amount of muscle work (especially on a ship tossing about, to be fair)

Oh don’t worry Karma, there’s plenty of yoga and walking and general exercise happening. It’s just (in my view!) you can only do those things so much of the time. Any form of being on a boat is good exercise though - using lots of muscles just to stay upright! Not surprised it was hard work!
It’s brightening up here now so some gardening this afternoon I think. Lunch first!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

That's really lovely of you to offer your transport services, vix. All we see on the news is the bad side of people, panic buying and leaving nothing for nurses and the elderly etc but there is also so much good going on!Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

Thanks Ladies, although I wasn't looking for praise. Animal-related volunteering is something I've wanted to do for a long time, so it seemed like an opportunity! No calls as yet though. And obviously it'll depend on the fuel costs, especially if I'm not working and this is going to continue for as long as they are suggesting. But it feels good to be helping in a small way.
Have just been for a walk (on my own, but ended up on the phone to both parents for most of it) in the nearby woods - absolute bliss, nature is getting on with stuff as normal and the bluebell leaves are up, primulas out and birds are singing. Really lifted the spirits!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Afternoon all,
It's busy round here lately!
Had a lovely day yesterday - got out and cleared my veg bed ready for planting, made some hot cross bunsand then in the afternoon DH and I went for a walk at our local NT property. It was madly busy there and they've since announced that all parkland and gardens will be closed, which is wise I think. We managed to keep our distance from everyone and to my shame I must admit that I've never walked around the park there - there's much more to it than I realised and I'm looking forward to being able to return in the future. We made use of the newly installed free charging points for EVs, so very minimal use of petrol (it's just beyond the max range for our car) and free electricity! It was a really nice break and the fact it was 'new' to me made it even more refreshing. We came home to hm hot x bun and then hm pizza for tea, and stayed up to watch some of the Grand Ole Opry (specially being broadcast and as we're not going to get there this year at least it was something!).
Today we are staying at home. We have a video call with DH's family arranged for 3pm and I've just spoken to my Mum on the phone. I'm glad to hear that my sister is now taking every precaution and my niece won't be having Nana Mondays for the foreseeable. Will ring sis for a video call in a bit. (I hate video calls, but I guess I'm just going to have to get used to them!). Will speak to Dad at some point too. I need to go and investigate my seed collection and do a bit more in the garden - the weather is lovely, I'm just being lazy. Expect we'll fit in a walk to the woods later too. Dinner tonight is salmon (and courgette maybe?) risotto.
MS things:
* NV survey (nearly at payout)
* YG survey
* Clicks etc.
* Used frozen leftover pizza sauce last night
Gratitudes:
* Lovely walk yesterday
* Technology
* Our CD collection - saving the bandwidth and going old-school with CD selection!

The outing to the NT property sounds lovely and something to look forward to when everything is open again!
I'm not a fan of video calls either, I always end up holding my phone at an angle that looks like I have three chins! Lol! But I suppose we should be grateful we have the means to be able to do it so we can all stay in touch with our families. My dad is setting my grandparents up with WhatsApp or Facebook messenger so they can start video calling, should be interesting!
CD?! What's that?! 😂Mortgage Balance as of July 2025 £14,900.

My mum was telling me about a video call with my niece this morning - mum got left on the floor of niece’s bedroom starting at the ceiling while niece wandered off to get something... she did come back fortunately! 🤣 at least your grandparents are unlikely to do that!!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
