can i still lawfully pursue The Royal Bank of Scotland to recover my charges?

p.s. on a final note, if i am able to recover, who do i make the cheque payable to?

Yes you can claim on a closed account and make the cheque payable to Royal Bank of Scotland.

"Have you ever noticed that if you rearranged the letters in mother in law, they come out to Woman Hitler?":p :p:p

If money doesn't grow on trees then why do banks have branches?:D

Can you breathe out of your nose and mouth at the same time?

Why don't the hairs on your arms get split ends?
  • Do you mean you go over your overdraft limit and are then charged?

You need to find out what the charges are then you can check which ones you can claim back and follow the step by step guide by Martin.

So i'm 13 days into my 28 days of MCOL and I got a letter from RBS today saying 'sorry we havent got back to you but we're still awaiting information' but the thing is, it wasn't in query to the MCOL claim, it was towards the Letter Before Action. Seriously my branch is so slow.

Hi, I managed to get an offer of £76 from the RBS but they insist I sign a disclaimer that they wrote on my behalf for the future stating that , "I understand that there will be no further refunds unless due to a bank error" and signed off "Yours truly".
(Sounds a wee bit too affectionate for me!!!)
Now, I have to sign this!
Does it sound correct to any one, and, where do I stand on this...is it legally binding? They also stated that I would have to sign this to recieve the refund when I attended a review of my account and graduate loan interview.
Any advice would be well appreciated.
    Cheers, Stef.

Many people have simply returned the form with these words crossed out. They are not really in a position to make demands like this. However, if you refuse they may close your account.
  • I'm at a similar stage to Matt - I've had the letter saying we'll be in touch with you as soon as possible.

That was last week, so they have another week before I start harrassing them again :D
I have no more money to give - all you companies out there - do your worst - I give in!! :(
