I wouldn't mind trying some Korean BB creams but am put off by some of the ingredients, which ones don't have placenta/ caviar/ fish parts/ snail mucus etc in them?

Great review, interesting to see your comparison with Colourstay - never tried it but read people impressed with the coverage!

Holika Holika is next on my list as sometimes I need more coverage than Skin79 Hot Pink. Have you tried Skin79? What is the coverage of Holika Holika like in comparison to that?

    Thanks :)

I have both the skin79 pack of minis and the holika (moisture and essential) for me the holika gives the better coverage so this is the range I will probably stick with :)

whats even better is that I have sold a load of unwanted stuff on ebay to fund my new love of bb creams :D

is any of the makeup worth trying?

I am put off those ingredients too, but I think the Skin79 pink one is ok (sorry can't exactly remember what it's called). It better be because I've been using it.

For anyone looking for darker shades, the Etude House BB cream in 'sand beige' matches my MAC NC35 complexion perfectly. I'd given up home of finding any that weren't too grey or pale.

Another update on the Skin79, it wasn't really working for me, I kept catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror looking smooth and blemish free but greasy, pink and pale so I gave it to dd to try who is more yellow toned and paler than me and it works beautifully for her, she wears MAC NC13 and the Skin 79 gives her great coverage (she's young) and a nice bright look. I'm disappointed for myself though, or I was until I bought the new Maybelline BB cream at the weekend, this is much more like what I've been looking for, I chose the light colour which is creamy and more yellow or neutral toned so it plays down my pinkness, thicker coverage but still a light feeling and whilst its still shiny its nowhere near as shiny, so no greasy look. Good old Maybelline, I do love their foundations anyway, this one reminds me of their Satin liquid but much lighter, its on 3 for 2 in Boots atm so I also picked up a couple of the illegal lengths mascara which I love - now I'm happy:D

ETA - The Maybelline BB cream comes in 3 shades, light, medium and dark there is also one called univeral glow and is oil free.

Thanks In_A_Pickle, I have ordered myself some more skin79 hot pink (can't imagine being without it now!) and also some Holika Holika Clearing...a bit indulgent but I'm usually very good at not buying girly stuff so I think its ok to have a little addiction :rotfl:

My Missha arrived, I've been using it for the last couple of days and I'm still undecided on it. I think it's still quite pale even tho I went for shade 21. It feels nice on the skin but I'm not ready to ditch my mineral makeup just yet.

Think I might try another. Does Holika Holika come in different shades?

Unfortunately not! Its another one shade only product. Did the Missha not oxidise to your skin tone after 15mins or so? I haven't tried Missha myself so not sure.

I think there is another brand that comes in different shades but the name is escaping right now. I'll edit if I remember :rotfl:

EDIT: Etude House is the one I was thinking of, it comes in four different shades. Someone on here might know of others x
