i've wanted to try the korean ones but am unsure as how to get one that matches my skin tone and where to buy it from ( can i trust the source )

my skin tone is fair, i have light skin that freckles easily and burns easily as well
I am ginger - likely that my skin tone is pretty similar to yours. Ghostly pale, burns easily, freckles in places (sadly not on my face, I think they are adorable!). My skin79 pink BB cream is a perfect match, especially after 5 mins when it adjusts to your skin tone..

As to source, well I suggest you do your own research into Skin79 or whichever brand you go for and decide whether you are happy with the product in theory. From what I have read, the Korean FDA are more stringent than the American one, although I don't know how that compares to the UK.

If you decide to order, the most imporant thing is to make sure you end up with a genuine product - a fake could contain anything and won't be very good as makeup. I have bought from bellogirl (korea based) and beckymortimer (UK based) on Ebay, both were genuine creams. Others on here have also bought from RubyRuby76 (korea based), also on ebay and have had genuine products. So I would order from one of these! I personally liked beckymortimer best, bellogirl sent a cute little note with my order, but the package from beckymortimer arrived the next day instead of having to wait a little longer (nearly 2 weeks for me) than from korea. I'm impatient lol. All come with samples so pick whichever you fancy :)

I came across this thread accidently and I'm so glad I did. I'm a recent convert to BB creams but have had problems finding the right shade for me. I also want a high SPF (50+) ideally.

I don't suppose anyone has tried this one

shade 3 looks like it would be right for me and it offers a SPF 50.

I have taken the plunge and ordered Missha BB cream No23 from seller rubyruby76. I am looking forward to receiving it as i have been after a new foundation as my usual Revlon Colourstay is starting to feel to cakey on my skin and my skin feels as if it can't breathe. Just hope it doesn't take too long too come as patience isn't a virtue of mine!

Got a couple of samples of Lioele Triple the Solution BB but it's a bit bleurgh! Texture is nice but colour is a fair bit darker than me so it just looks wrong. Back to my lovely Holika Holika Moisture I think.

It should be - I did a quick search and a few beauty bloggers have ordered from sing-sing-girl and have had genuine products :)

I haven't tried Etude House, hopefully someone else who checks this thread will have sampled it. I know that Skin79 do a SPF50 BB cream, its called Vital Orange, I haven't tried it or read many reviews though but just a heads up in case it helps :) EDIT: just looked at the EtudeHouse one to see what shade you are, it looks quite dark so Skin79 could possibly be too light for you. However, my friend is naturally fairly tanned and the hot pink BB adjusts to her skintone just fine, but one with SPF50 might be a bit "whiter".

    Hi
I was recommended the No 7 BB cream by one of my friends. I now use it everyday. Even though I have very fair skin, it gives me great coverage without looking too heavy. I went for the normal/oily version - doesn't dry my skin out. Would def recommend it :)

thanks for all the great info posted on here - for the first time in years I actually feel good about how I'm looking. The Korean bb creams have worked wonders for me :)

I love the holika moisture and this week had a delivery of the holika essential and the skin79 sample pack. (yes I'm addicted!)

holika essential was thicker but the coverage is excellent, it covers the redness on my cheeks and best of all it doesn't feel heavy on my skin.

I have tried the lightest no7 one (had a Voucher to use) and it doesn't compete with the holika for coverage and colour match for me.

so any suggestions for what to try next? :D

well after trying the BRTC blemish recover for a few days here is my verdict.
coverage: moderate. It's very thick so a little goes a long way. however it doesn't cover my spots as well as skin79. It is very matt too.
    oil control:moderate to good
colour: VERY pale, the palest I have tried. starts out very grey but warms up a bit. ok for me but not for warm toned skin.

it does contain tea tree so possibly helps with spots (i haven't broken out in any more since using it).

Soooo - i'd say ok for oily/troubled skin but it looks a bit mask like for me.
