I honestly cannot see the difference with the patting method and the sweeping method. The only differences I can tell are that the patting method takes longer and uses more product. Am I doing something wrong?0

Saw an advertisement for this last night:http://www.boots.com/en/LOreal-Revitalift-Repair-10-BB-Light_1253350/?CAWELAID=1206255409
(L'Oreal Revitalift Repair 10 BB Light). Even though I'm trying a Korean BB Cream, would be interested to hear feedback, can't see anything on this yet. I assume it also comes in Medium and Dark shades.
Edit: Actually, here's one: http://mascaramagic.blogspot.co.uk/2012/02/loreal-revitalift-repair-10-bb-cream-in.html0 -
judi skin79 diamond and diamond pearl are quite dewy/shimmery and imo missha perfect cover and signature real complete are perfectly dewy. rubyruby and other sellers sell packs of 4 different skin79 BBs in mini sizes.
I love missha signature real complete even more than perfect cover, the colour is even better for me and the staying power is great and it's no nasties too! The mineral oil in perfect cover was making me break out so I always had 1-2 spots coming on my chin but it also got rid of them really quick. Hopefully with signature real complete they will stop
Someone mentioned innisfree being irish, but I'm pretty sure they are different companies. My innisfree skincare has really bad english on it, the exfoliator says it will give you "dull looking skin" :rotfl:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
IMO patting technique works better on younger skin, or skin with little or no imperfections.
I have discolouration & noticable pores and I find using my stippling brush helps cover those areas & gives a smoother finish.
It's the pink Skin79 + bb cream I use.
After saying that, I could do with a recommendation for a decent stippling brush.0 -
An ebay seller (korecore) is selling the Skin79 sample 4 x 5g minis at Buy It Now or Best Offer (think the lowest they'll go is about $7.99 each). Free postage, so not bad for a total of 20g for just under a fiver!
(Am I allowed to put a link? Not sure). Listed as "NEW SKIN79 MINI SET PINK SUPER+ gold DIAMOND Miniature BB CREAM 5g".
Took about 2 weeks to get my Gold Label Super Plus (rubyruby76).0 -
My favourite is Holika Holika Petit BB Moisture SPF 35 which is around £6 delivered off ebay. It's full coverage, a perfect match for my pale skin, has a lovely dewy sheen to it and it is full of goodies like hyaluronic acid too. I love it to bits, it's one of my HG foundations and it feels like I've tried 'em all.
Green, I tried this on your recommendation...... thank you thank you thank you!
When I first saw the colour I thought "Uh oh, this isn't right" but it's exactly right! All the other shades I get, some of which have been colour matched by 'experts' has yellow tones and make me look sallow. This is a much warmer shade which makes my skin look amazing.
Excellent recommendation you wee darling :A0 -
Well, my Skin79 Hot Pink BB Cream arrived!
I'm very impressed so far! Its the perfect match for my skin tone which is the first time I have found this in a tinted skin product! The gray tones disappeared within 5 minutes and my skin now looks glowy and smoother. It doesn't cover my imperfections, but makes my skin look more even. I have a dry patch on my chin at the moment from using BP and it hasn;t highlighted it - if anything it has soothed it.
I would need to use concealer if I wanted more coverage for a special occasion, but for every day use this is ideal! Very easy to apply even for a makeup noob like me.
I have very sensitive skin so will wait and see if it irritates me at all. If not , I will be buying the bigger bottle!
The sample is TonyMoly Expert Triple BB Cream. I will report back when I have tried it.GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125

I love the little notes Bellogirl puts in,she seems adorable! If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -
So, I tried Skin Food Peach Sake BB Cream next.
Texture/colour: It is thinner than Skin79 hot pink and slightly warmer no grey cast. Smells gorgeous (peachy)
Oil Control: light to medium
Coverage: Light to medium
The coverage seems patchy to me - it seems to settle into my pores and highlight them. Mixing with a moisturiser is better but then it makes a tinted moisturiser rather than real coverage.
So far Skin 79 hot pink is a winner.....the search/trials continue though."I am not a vegetarian because I love animals; I am a vegetarian because I hate plants." A. Whitney Brown0 -
I loved my Skin79 hot pink BB cream so much that I ordered the big bottle so I don't run out! I didn't want to wait for ages for it to arrive so I looked for a UK seller on ebay and found one whose username is "beckymortimer". I thought I'd better wait until I recieved it before recommending her, but it arrived the next day and is definately genuine! I also got free samples of BB cleanser and some skin79 snail bb cream. She only seems to sell three types of BB cream and only Skin79 but if you want one of those then I would recommend her.:T
Has anyone heard about the snail bb cream? Apparently its 45% snail mucous  I'm not sure whether I should try the sample or not as I'm a vegetarian and I'm concerned about just how the slime is collected.. :think:GC2012: Nov £130.52/£125
