I must be getting old as hadn't heard of BB untill reading this, they sound great....but they aren't the same cream that was on some documentry where loads of people had seriously bad reactions to it due to the whitening agent it them??......not wanting to scare people just want to check,as I too like previous post wonder as to the regulations other countries have regarding ingredients and safety.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0

Ive tried a few, the Asian ones are my favourites but all of them i have tried are very matt. Have i been unlucky and gone for the wrong ones? Has anyone found a slightly shimmery Asian BB cream? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

The Holika Holkia one I have isn't very matt,I hate anything really matt tbh.The other one I tried (premium gold or something) was more sheer but had a slight grey cast to start with.If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?0 -

I haven't tried them myself though.

I got two samples of the pink and gold Skin79 creams the other day. They both seem fine, not quite sure of the difference as far as how they feel/colour..but I suppose I'd have to trial both over a period of time.
What I will say as a skincare freak, is that I don't feel confident that a BB Cream will give me the SPF I need so I'm going to start wearing my usual moisturiser. Currently waiting on a "normal size" Gold BB Cream.
It's lighter than the usual foundations I've tried, in texture and in colour. Usually have a nightmare colour-matching as I'm very pale. Normally I don't wear foundation as it looks cakey and highlights my flaws (not the greatest skin texture). The very fact I think it looks quite natural and "just enough" makes me think this could be a keeper. My skin doesn't react to it either.
The last foundation I tried was my niece's Maybelline SuperStay (I think) over two days. Wow, what a zit attack I got from that!
PS: What does me constantly doing the typo "Skin69" say about me? :rotfl:0 -

To be honest its more brightening than whitening, the ones you are talking about are a bleaching agent and are banned. But sold under the counter usually in Asian shops, not every Asian shop of course.
Ingredients wise the one I bought Missha Signature M is eco cert and has full list of ingredients on the box. You have to be careful of the fake ones which sell using the proper brand names version. That is why getting a recommendation from someone about which ebay seller is a must.0 -
My BB cream arrived today. I stuck some on my hand and patted it in about an hour and a half ago now and it has blended in lovely. I have just applied it to my face and I'm not so sure. I seem to have missed patches around my hair line which I suppose I will get better at in time. It looks really orange on me too. I'm hoping that this evens out over the course of the afternoon. It appears very matt and when I took the mirror outside to try and get a good look, I could see every lump and bump on my face really clearly. I don't tend to look when I have my usual make up on so I'm not sure how this compares. It doesn't feel cakey which is a good but I'm not very keen on the smell of it. I was surprised that it wasn't whiter or more grey like some of you have described as it has SPF in it. I think that it will take quite a while for me to see any benefits from it, I got the repairing one as I do have a tendency toward spottiness.
Really, I think I was hoping for make-up artist face and that is going to take practice! I will get faster at applying it in time though (I hope!) and hope to get a way of getting more even coverage.
It will be nice if this wonder cream can do what it says and repair my skin. I seem to have loads of bumps underneath my skin almost like dormant spots.

I've given up on the patting technique & gone back to using a stipple brush to apply the cream. I think it gives a better result.0

I reapplied this last night before I went to work. Had my bath and used an exfoliating face wash then applied it when I got out. Instead of patting it in, I smoothed it all in like you would with foundation and then went over my whole face again patting it. This worked really well. It sat much better on my skin that way.
Verdict: appeared to be quite shiny whereas I thought it was really matte earlier in the day. Gave good coverage. Wasn't so orange this time. Settled to my skin tone well.
I had a horrible night at work, really busy. I didn't leave until 9am and some of the clerical staff became a little confused as they thought I must be on a day shift. Make up was still spot on this morning, no eyeshadow wearing, it was as fresh as when I put it on last night.
