Anyone having a 2014 wedding?

I've sorted my wedding insurance this week, we are getting married in April 2014. The insurance with E & L was only £28 as a one-off cost and not only covers suppliers going bust, but also if you or the person paying for the wedding is made redundant nearer the time or (heaven forbid) if a member of the wedding party was unable to attend due to a health issue. I really hope we won't need it, but its good (relatively inexpensive) peace of mind.0

Wow! You all seem so organised. All I've managed to do so far is research some venues/dresses/etc on the net but I reallllly want to book venues/s and registrar soon so that I at least have a definite date set.
Has anyone heard or know of any decently priced venues in London (any part, really) for a ceremony?
Well done to Skippycat on the dress-that's an amazing win! And to misscutiepie1984. Although it's a shame they didn't hold your date, seems like you got a fantastic deal in the end.
Congratulations to everyone else!0 -

Hi
We have booked our venue for 2nd august 2014. That is about it. I am designing our own invitations and stationary and will probably be making favours- cooking of some description. Pinterest has some lovely ideas on it so i have been keeping my eye on that!0 -

Thanks double mummy! I've just arranged to view a third venue...i cant decide!!!! Cannot believe to get a registrar to an approved venue is going to cos £350!!! I seen a great idea on this forum that I might steal...the person had hired a candy cart and let the guests fill up a small jar (which doubled as name card things for the table) and they made their own favours!0
